After 350k miles. I am having the same issue. Obd2 showed a cylinder 6 misfire. Changed plugs, still rough when cold.
when I drove it, it seemed to run ok if I drove real chill, but started misfire if I stepped on the gas.
so I’m hoping to get some answers too.
Ok, so this is a good thread for me.
ive been fighting a steering fluid leak. I replaced the hoses, and still leaking, I thought mine was coming out of the unit itself, but then I thought that it wasn’t.
so this may be what my next thing to do on the my truck
Greentruck , sorry for your loss. That’s rough, glad no quarantine for your brother though. A little consolation.
Good info on the tires, mine are almost gone, and I need a new set anyway. So that’s a coming.
But I am ready for a quieter truck. I’ve got a couple of long trips planned, and...
Iv'e had my 95' FJ80 for about 7 years now, driven it all over the place. But it has always been so loud inside. I am running 35's with a fairly aggressive tread, but it seems like that is only part of the problem. I don't really hear wind noise, but it seems like I hear everything outside the...
I have a 95' FJ80
My brakes where working just fine, then suddenly, things got weird.
The pedal got very hard to push. ad the brakes didnt work well. If i let the pedal out for a second or two, it would go back to normal. Then, if I held the pedal down, for like a stop light, the pedal...
Have you looked at your u-joints and pinions? If they are worn, they can bind up under load.
It’s the “bumps in the road” part of the symptoms made me think of that.
Good luck.
I have used uShip, and it was great. Shipped from California to oklahoma,
Was very reasonably priced. And showed up within 30 min from when they projected to be there.
I was very happy
Good luck
I second the clogged a/c for the wet.
Also. The catalytic converters are under passenger seat. That can make it very hot under there.
I have a 95’ and my passenger floorboard is always hot.
Maybe I should do something about that.

Been around for maybe 6-8 months for sale. YouTube has several videos about these in keeps.
Proffit off road put one in a fj80
That is the portioning valve for the rear brakes.
It allows the rear brakes to adjust how.much pressure to apply as the weight transfers during braking
When the front end dives under braking, it gives more pressure to rear brakes to try and level out the truck.
Hope that helps
You have to take out the top and bottom holders. The bottom is connected to the suspension. The top is is right next to the speed sensor.
Take those out and the birf will come out
Hope this helps
Good luck
You said the reservoir is full (over flowing?)
That usually happens if the caliper pistons are pushed all the was back into the caliper, like when your putting new pads in.
I would suggest looking that the wheels and make sure that they are not wobbly. A wheel wobble will cause the pistons to...
