Purchased in 2010 with 127K on the odometer. 195K now. At some point before I got it, the PO installed a new radiator. I installed a B&M trans cooler in series shortly after I brought it home. This has been a very reliable truck, well-maintained by me and the local Toyota dealership.

Finally looked up under my rear bumper and saw a 16-year-old tire and a rusted steel wheel. Need to replace just in case it's ever needed (which it hasn't for 16 years...)
I'm looking at replacing my stock 265/70R-16 tires on my 2000 4Runner but thought I'd check to see if anyone in RTP, NC area has a set of later-model 4Runner or LC wheels+tires that I could purchase instead. Let me know whatcha gots!
Hey guys... I deleted an old email account where my pics were stored, so re-uploaded them to Photobucket and updated the links back in post #6... Here are the Toyota part #s for a starter rebuild.
Amazing that I can still edit a 10-year-old post! Thanks to @gregclimbs for pointing out the dead...
Hey guys, I found another amazing Land Cruiser near me in Chapel Hill, NC! I used to own a sweet '89 and just can't help but stop and look when I see one for sale. Helping a buddy in Wilmington sell this since he's not local to the truck so PM me if you're interested and I can take it for a...

Hey man, just want to say I'm impressed with your willingness to listen to advice of a bunch of old farts and not take an attitude or get offended by anything said. Sad to say, it's a rare thing these days, esp in a teenager.
While the 60-series is a classic vehicle, fun to drive, easy to maintain, etc, I wouldn't consider it "safe".
My experience with two daughters... Started with the FJ62 because *I* fell in love with it, it's a sturdy vehicle, but still drove and handled like a truck (the OME lift contributed to...
A few more pics for your enjoyment, Mike!
New exhaust, just not all the way up to the exhaust manifold:
Winch controller (briefly tested, seems to work):
Missing the rear wheel well covers:
Some rust inside the door openings:
A few spare parts (the reservoir is probably for the...
Just called the number and they picked up on second ring. Cruiser Dan is still there, so just ask for him and he'll hook you up.
Pretty cool to see an almost 9-year-old thread helping out the LC community!
Edit: Duh, sorry, you're not in the States. Try American Toyota's web site...
