I have a set of newer (73 or 74) fj40 seats that I’ve considering installing in my 4/72 to replace the 5 piece bench.
The newer (73+) seat mounts are expensive and I’d have to cut the under seat toolbox to fit them.
The bench and lap belt is quite a ride.
Seems like I read in the FSM that when you adjust valves you check torque on the rocker shaft and check torque on the head bolts.
My valve cover and carb were leaking bad (badly?) so no hope of anything dry and rusty up there.

How long you need it? Come borrow mine. It’s towable and heavy duty.
Air or hand crank. Desert tool used it to lift my 1,000lb 1fz drivetrain about 8 feet high.

I had a machine shop go through the block, install oil busing thingy, and polish the crank.
It was about $800. Block would have been cheaper had I not left it outside.

Opinions very widely, but figure around +100 hp.
It pulls very hard through the mid rpm range and makes the cool supercharger noises.
This will make a huge difference hauling heavy loads...
