That's my motto too for just about everything......except ex girlfriends
the old saying "always return an ax sharper then when you barrowed it"
and i trusted you...but s*** happens
Glad you like the suspension!
Wish I could tell you...I never drove it.
I gave the Cruiser to Joey just before Christmas and hadn't seen it in person till I got back in town Saturday and the remains were towed to the parking lot at my work
well technically I still have my 84 hilux but it hasn't moved under its own power for years. (I've owned it for 31 years)
friends are like "fix it up for your kids when they start to drive!"
they probably wouldn't be seen dead in the old beater. but I WILL insist that they learn to drive...
I'm gonna refrain from posting pics
and I don't want to side track this thread
BUT - There are arc burns all over the vehicle from the power lines dancing around. Including melted metal around the fuel door
I'm more than curious!
I was planning on keeping the 80 for life.
I have been driving company cars while Joey had my cruiser. But the 80 was my only personal vehicle for the last 5-6 years!
I was out of town in Moab UT when the accident happened. With the speed of communication and that the vehicle is recognizable, I found out right away as a couple of friends called the office.
My wife was able to get the vehicle released form impound while I was still out of town and it is now...
they are impressive! doesn't act like a small engine working really hard either and revs less then the V8. I have the HO version of that same motor and with a simple plug in tuner its close to 5 sec 0-60, ~500hp
except for the horrible throttle response cuz its A to A....JK
I have a CanAm UTV...
Ha
The Raptors are work vehicles but it is my daily and its awesome.
Maybe I should change it to "Historically a Toyota guy"
The 16+ Tacoma is a pile and it has made me a little disappointed in the brand.
Not to derail this topic---back to 1FZ turbos
GREAT news: Air to Water IC is on the Table!!
Not necessarily
If I can get the bumper over it I can usually go up. This pic was a medium obstacle and its way higher than the axles. sliders are also way higher then the axles and we use the crap out of them.
The whole underside and front lower edge of the bumper up to where it bolts to the...
On the Raptor the stock IC is mounted low between the frame rails and all the air for it comes thru the bumper
we make an aftermarket bumper that actually increases the frontal area and ducts more air to the stock IC. we were able to increase ground clearance a little, but not much without...
What I like most about A to W is that the volume of water acts as an energy sink letting you run a smaller front cooler for the water. if you ran on boost constant for a longer period of time then the water temp would creep up and the radiator could not keep up (low duty cycle). but if you...
the apple and orange balance that is missing here is the core "time and area" on the charge air side. If the air goes thru too quickly over too small a surface area it will not have a chance to reject heat regardless of what fluid (air or liquid) is on the other side.
Nitto just came out with a new size Trail Grappler that's a bit narrower
35x11.50R17. and its a load range C so it rides better and is more compliant
we just put a set on our 4Runner
