@Fisher23 it looks like you had the 3rd row seat option. I THINK drilling is required on a 2-row model, such as my '21 HE 2-row. I tried to test fit the ARB framework but I didn't see it lining up with any existing threaded holes.
Looks like the truck is going to need a visit to my local dealer. Everything was running fine after I reinstalled the missing bolt, but now I've noticed a rather loud "clunking" type noise when turning the wheel side to side, even while the truck is stationary. Heck, it even makes a little noise...
Thanks @CharlieS. Funny, I was looking at those same wheels. Mainline Overland sells them. I appreciate the info on the offset. I might spring for new wheels if they'll fit on my BFG tires. I do love the matte bronze BBS wheels on my truck but would prefer not to run spacers.
I'll have to look for that print out. I do not recall seeing one though. I may have shoved it in the glove box and will check later.
I have a trip to Jay Peak VT in March (~400 mile drive) so this all needs to be sorted before then. I'm confident it will be.
The other thing I'd love to do...
I got the replacement nut and washer for the rack yesterday and thankfully was able to reinstall it and torque it down to the proper 89 ft lb as shown in the FSM. Actually I had followed linuxgod's posts to setup my own webserver at home for the 200 series FSM so that was helpful. I had never...
I had to select the option "pick a random port every time Transmission is started" and restart the download. That did the trick. I had also allowed Transmission as an exception in WIndows Defender but I don't know if that had any effect.
Sorry, walked away from the computer for a few. I restarted the download but it still says 0 peers. I just cut/pasted the entire "magnet" line farther up in the thread.
I am following the instructions now to setup an Abyss webserver on my home network. I am trying to download the ISO but it's not making any progress. I haven't tried to download via torrent in a very very long time so I don't know if I just need to be patient and wait for one of the peers to...
I am now going to follow this course of being extra cautious, especially given that I uncharacteristically threw caution to the wind.
Extra bolts, washers, and nuts have been ordered. I'll install new hardware for the entire rack.
If the truck is still wandering or acting strangely I'll take...
@bloc I did buy 1 new bolt. There are 2 long ones and 1 short. I bought the short one, so the missing long bolt + the new short bolt will be installed. I also just ordered a new drivers side tie rod end and a couple more nuts for those steering rack bolts. I remember it driving SO much better...
Oh man. Now I'm paranoid. Is it possible to tell if it's a fake?
This is the exact thing on Amazon I ordered: Toyota 0w20 on Amazon
Even the box it came in was labeled Toyota. The individual quarts are all labeled Toyota. I mean it's certainly possible the actual oil is not what's purported...
This is a distinct possibility. When I took it to the Toyota dealer I gave them the SPC instructions. They had a heck of a time getting it within spec . I told them to look at the instructions again because it's very specific. After that they aligned it, though I did not receive a report...
I looked underneath the truck and realized that if I had only moved my head slightly and took 15 seconds to look after I had removed the bolt in the first place I would've seen how easy it was to replace the nut. So the good news is that when I do get the new nut and washer I ordered the longest...
It does seem rather ridiculous looking at my post. The mild flaming is totally warranted LOL. All good. I'll be brutally honest here - I swear my decision making during this pandemic has been adversely affected. I'll chalk it up to stress. When I mistakenly removed that bolt I didn't even blink...
Hi all,
Had a rather stressful drive from NJ to MD today. This was the longest drive I've taken in the truck since I got it.
Problem: truck needs constant steering adjustment, which I'd be ok with if that was the only thing. It's a lifted 7,000lb truck after all. But when going to pass another...
I would also say this is normal. You need some amount of "give" for when it all goes back together and you need to put the C clip (maybe not the technical term) on the end. You put a small bolt in the threaded end of the axle and pull a little. :)
@rcork could I trouble you for a couple pics of how your bumper lines up with the headlights and the front fenders? I will be pulling mine off at some point in the near future to reinstall different rubber moulding and hopefully better align it and close the gap more with the fender.
