They are full spacers alright, machined aluminum no less. What's the easiest way to remove the coils? I've done this several times on a Jeep, but never on a Cruiser.
I have 30-40mm aftermarket coil spacers on the front installed by the PO that I would like to remove to level the truck more, I usually drive with a lot of gear in the back. Will I likely need any parts to replace the spacers somehow? What is the best way to get the springs down enough to get...
Just had a local shop replace the droning Magnaflow with something bigger. I'm a little concerned about the driveshaft clearance. Am I going to lose that muffler flexing off road?
Custom rear bumper wings with a swing out tire carrier. Carrier held a 285/75/16 for several years with no problems. Also has CB mount, backup light, recovery tabs. $500 with your OEM rear bumper in trade. Located near Bellingham, WA.
I switched to 91, which helped a tiny bit maybe. Seems to get worse the longer I drive in a day and the hotter it gets. Hitting I-70 into the Rockies early tomorrow!
Having some car problems on a SW road trip in 100' temps with a car full of camping gear. The P0171 lean fuel trim code came up a few times after climbing big hills. A new air filter seems to have fixed that, I hope, it was really nasty, but I'm getting a lot of pinging under load and lack of...
I removed the snorkel and I'm now running without the fender air intake plastic, just a tube from the airbox into the fender, a Landtank MAF, and Magnaflow muffler. I noticed increased throttle response and slightly better MPG after removing the expo bling snorkel. I'll report back on MPG...
Most of my noise comes from a Magnaflow exhaust. So I'm guessing I might as well leave it off? There's the water issue too, but not sure how much it would help. My old Jeep had an airflow restrictor on it to make it quieter. Removing it gained a 1 mpg increase.
What is the purpose of the plastic box situated inside the fender that is attached to the air intake? I just have a rubber tube attached to the air filter that goes into the fender area, and it seems to work pretty well. I de-snorkled my LX450, tired of all questions and stares, and the stock...
I bet there will be even better bargains this summer after the price of gas goes even higher and people get around to unloading them. I regret not picking up a factory locked and ARB'd 80 with a 160k miles for 6k last time prices peaked in the summer. It took the guy a week to sell it in a...
X2 on hiking in Islands in the Sky. Mesa Arch is a must see. Very nicely ask a ranger how to get to the hidden kiva. It's not really a kiva but an Anasazi house built into a cave with an awesome view. It's not on their maps, you have to be in the know.
Schaffer switchbacks are also the beginning of the White Rim Trail, an excellent 2-3 offroad trip with amazing scenery the whole way, and easily doable with a stocker. Camping reservations are needed during the busier parts of the year.
Elephant Hill would be challenging but doable. Anybody...
