I'm having some problems and need some help. Something is freaking out with my wiring and I'm not sure where to begin figuring it out other than taking apart the dash and just looking for shorts.
Symptoms:
1) Stereo power will cut off randomly and cut back on.
2) CB power will randomly cut...
I want to hack up my ARB. It is not designed for wheeling approach angle.
Plan to do some wheeling and you got an extra $300? = Slee
Plan to use some fog lights and drive easy trails? = ARB.
I got my ARB for $300 on sale. When I can afford it...I will get the Slee. By then...I will have...
Sleeping Platform Test
First a little update on armor. I got my BIOR belly skid!! yippie!
I finally got to test out my sleeping platform. The transformation worked perfect! Fridge moved to the front, gear in the footwells and front seat, and a nice big platform. The platform fits three...
This is good advice. Thanks guys. Getting a feel of your rig like that can only come with time and experience. My 100 is still new to me in that sense. Same thing for peddle control.
This is probably what I should stick with, and save my time, money and creativity for more useful mods...
I think you're misunderstanding me. "looks" is the very last of my concern. I pulled the wheel flares on my old runner leaving a bunch of horribly ugly holes, just so I could see the tire.
I do a lot of rock crawling in CO, where tire placement is the only way you get through without bent...
Good concept, but that's a lot of force on a small pin, the day you do have to maneuver quickly.
I like the idea of an end link that lengthens and shortens but never disconnects. I just haven't found a feasible design yet.
Has anyone trimmed their fenders with cosmetic success?
Does no one else appreciate the view of front tire placement, and wish to discuss how to achieve it?
"is there anybody...out there?"
This is what I anticipate and why I want to find a way to make it happen.
Your other comments, however, ring wise that I should not permanently remove the bar.
Thank you very much for your time in making a thorough response of your experiences.
In my 3rd gen runner, I removed my front antisway bar completely. I liked it that way, and felt it helped keep me more level while wheeling. Here's my quick take on it:
I know there is argument about removing a sway bar on IFS and that because the drooping tire is not loaded, that there is no...
So your saying the only way to satisfy this need is body modification? I do have a 3/4" body lift...but that's probably not enough.
I'm not scared to whack at the fenders, but would prefer a cleaner option.
I want to be able to lean out my window, and see the edge of my tire. (for rock placement purposes).
I have 295/16/75's on stock rims.
If I purchase 1.25" wheel spacers, will I see the tire's edge?
Has anyone else worked through this want? Should I buy new rims with a large offset instead...
Wheel spacers are on my list of wants. I want to be able to lean out the window and see the edge of my front tire. Do you know if you could see your front driver's tire while in the passenger seat? I also have 295's.
I am interested in yours, but do not believe they are discounted enough for...
Custom built area on top of my drawers. He loves it, and knows it is his special place. He runs to it when he gets scared in the mountains (lightening freaks him out) If you think it's small...his other option is home alone in the much bigger living room. He always chooses to come along with us.
Yeah, I don't get this either? I had a dead, dead, dead battery, but I could still unlock the driver door with the key. The other locks did not unlock, but the door with the key did.
This has already been answered, but look back at my picture. The three bolts you see in the middle attach to the crossmember where the old cheesy little skid used to. So it's right on the crossmember.
I didn't weight it, but I would guess it weighs maybe 60 lbs?
Mike's prices quoted to me...
Hello.
I am the happy new owner of a Bump It Offroad belly skid plate. I hope to be able to afford the rest in the future.
I purchased this product because it has a much more reasonable price point for a guy with economics like mine.
I have not gotten to beat it up yet on the trails, but it...
This is a good thread, so I'll add to it. It needs more pics too, so I'll help with that.
I had two Optimas in the stock location (thread CLOSED for some unknown reason):

One of them died a few weeks ago...
