Fair enough... You get a cup of water... I get an ice cold beer
Hey give me a brake loud, I just wanted to make sure that these guys have the best water available when the Zombies come...

They offer a waterproof, breathable glove for virtually any activity.

I`ve been using their products for several years, and I`ve always...
Yep.
Although it may not be so convienient for backpacking, IMO Berkey`s filtration method is second to none. It is the ONLY purifier that I would trust for filtering large quantities of rancid, stagnant or polluted water during a long-term disaster or emergency too.
And considering that...
It sounds like FJ40 knows his stuff when it comes to solar power :)
I like the idea of generating power from tidal changes, but...
For general lighting and to occasionally run/charge 12-110 volt accessories, a pair of (80watt+) solar panels, an inexpensive charge controller and a set of...

If nothing else, it looks like they did a good job promoting it :p
Huh ?

Show me where to get a reasonably priced 3 watt LED flashlight that puts out 300 lumens + and I`ll buy a suitcase full right now.. Oh yeah, it cant run on batteries either :D
Although LED technology is advancing at a fast pace, it seems that...
Personally, I`d give this product a second look.

a single panel should be capable of producing 1.5-2 amps @ 13-17v in full sun... By linking 2 together I was very suprised at what I could actually "run" or charge with a couple of these panels. In fact, I bet 2 linked panels would be able to run an Engel and...

You should be ok if you`re using the vehicle`s main battery to power your Engel for a day trip or for an overnighter..
But IMO, if you`re gonna use your new fridge on a frequent basis, or you intend to "stay put" in a camp for any period of time (more than a...
Come on Loud, you know I`d never abuse my rig like that :D
You`re right ...You could "mini jump" a 100 all day long and not break anything ( Dont` ask me how I know ) ;)
After owning (and abusing) a 100, I cant imagine there being a tougher SUV than this.

My Engel MT60 only discharges a standard 27-series...

Even with my 1600 mounted up on my AO rack (for opening to the side) I still have room for TWO dual jerry-can holders and extra coolant, gear oil etc... plus I have a rigid...
Yes, eventually they will all fail.... But it might take another 15 or more years to occur ;)
I wouldnt worry too much about a (coil failure) happening very often though... One ? yes. Two ? ok..possible . Three ? Not very likely.
At least it is fairly easy to...
