Abso-fawkin-lutely.
It's been a while since I've messed with my radiator (CSF so may not be identical drain-wise to OEM), but is the bung for the drain fitting big enough to drill out and tap for the Toyota drain valve?
Good to head you're still doing the occasional bumper. Maybe when I get ready to plunk down for one I'll get the timing just right and be able to snag one of yours.
Is the FJ62 fusible link upgrade still in work? I'd love to swap over to a more modern solution myself.
I do remember (but haven't gotten the opportunity yet) I plan to investigate the connections where my factory charge lead ultimately reaches the fuse panel and see about upgrading it for the...
Definitely give the throttle body coolant supply a check like @YooperCruiser suggested. There's definitely something getting in, and to all six cylinders. That's some ugly buildup.
My OEM rear belts are in good shape but my fronts are going to need replacing within the next couple years. Thanks for reminding me where they come from 😂
...and a lot of profanity
When I changed out my stuff I just torched the old bushings out. Wasn't worth the extra effort to fight something I wasn't worried about preserving.
Just make sure to do it outside or in a place with VERY good ventilation. Holy hell are the fumes nasty.
Holy moly that's impressive!
They're not cheap, but I've been eyeballing the set of wide beam yellows to use for fog lights with CC's brackets once I can spend the money. I REALLY want fog lights again after a few dense mornings this last winter.
Some DIY hot tank shenanigans in the back yard this weekend.
NOTE: There's no way on God's green earth that I would do this type of hackneyed setup if I were using caustic and/or flammable chemicals, or even filling the drum full. As it is I used 15 gallons of water plus the full gallon...
This would definitely be interesting to see. Be great to be able to go that route by the time I need to pull all that apart to rebuild my H55F. The 1/3 synchro has been notchy for a couple years now but never gotten any worse, as long as I'm careful, so I've been trying to push it out as long as...
Damn, sounds like a quality control issue that needs to be resolved with them. I wonder how bad the internal solder joints are on them too if the wiring is slipping past their QA and making it out the door.
As far as your transfer case whine, it makes sense. Partial throttle where the load on...
Just after lunch today I got a call from Injector RX saying that my injectors are done (actually they called because I either wrote down an incorrect number on my credit card info on the slip, or my handwriting is just that bad. I'm betting the latter). I honestly wish I would've had the...
I still dream of a 4x4Labs or Dissent rear bumper (only took Trail Tailor off the table because Jason's scaling back production; which come to think of it I don't think he's even taking new orders for bumpers at this point).
