Strong running FJ80 with the 3FE engine. No mechanical issues. I love this vehicle, but don’t love 11-14 mpg. Running the factory 15”alloy with almost new 31” Grabber A/Ts. Not flipping. This is my daily driver.
Very solid. Light surface rust on drive train and body anchors. I find no...

1992 with 3FE engine. No mechanical issues. I love this vehicle, but don’t love 11-14 mpg. Running the factory 15”alloy with almost new 31” Grabber A/Ts. Comes with midlife 33’s mounted on aftermarket 15” steelies. I have some spare parts from my 1991 that finally rusted out after many...
I have most all the larger, cumbersome-to-ship parts: interior panels, sunroof, doors, transfer case, diffs (open), 3FE stuff, wiring harnesses.
Let me know what you're in need of. Some panels have rust. Everything else works fine. I'll tell it like it is.

As a follow up, I replaced the popped headlights, fuses, relay, fusible link, and voltage regulator.
Everything works fine now. Probably a huge overkill, but when you are in the process of parting out, you have all that stuff laying around anyways (except the regulator, which I had to buy). It's...
Thanks! I don't see that distinction when I google FJ80 alternators.
Bet that has led to a lot of mail order disappoinment.
(The alternator in the '91 doesn't look like the 90A's I see on line. It has the external fan.)
I'm parting out my very rusted 1991 stock Cruiser.
Replaced it with a 1992 Cruiser. I was excited to have a spare alternator, but the plugs are not the same.
I was under the impression the 91 & 92 were part for part swap outs.
Alternator is pulled from the 91. New regulator matches the 92.
Is...
Bic's in Level Green??!
That's SUPER convenient. Sadly, I'm out of town this week on business travel. :banghead::banghead:
I'll keep trying. Thanks,
Albert
Oh, another helpful hint. This had an invasive alarm system octopused into the factory harnesses under dash and in the kick plate wiring.
Kick panel and fender ground points are good and tight, no corrosion.

But plot thickens a few hours later. All 4 bulbs are blown. But I still don't have...
Driving down the road in my totally rust-free '92 in the dark, both headlights (dims & brights) suddenly go out, along with the dash lights. I still have blinkers, horn, most other stuff. So I limp home with the emergency flashers lighting the way.
Headlight fuses are good. Replaced the...
Thanks!
All glass is great. The rig is my parts warehouse right now, so doors and glass will be the last things to go.
The interior and lights are pulled and mostly available. Engine bay will be next. Unless I get big motivation, drive train will be next year.
Frame is rusty, but not rotted, so...
Giving my 91 up for rust issues. Runs perfectly. All gears smooth. Cold AC.
Currently have all interior trim, fender flares, easily pulled non-essentials. Body panels mostly worthless.
Need my doors and windows for now, since I'm storing the parts inside, but they'll go eventually.
Will also get...
Since I got my 92 last year, the front heater has always blown cold air, rear heat blows hot air when I ask it to.
I found the previous owner used stop lead instead of coolant and several of the hoses were plugged solid.
I have to pull the dash anyway and anticipate replacing the heater core. I...
Got a ‘91 that needs a new fuel tank and filler tube, plus some body work after 10 winters in PA.
So I got a 92 from New Mexico off eBay.
The cooling system was badly plugged from stop leak, so the front heat blows cold. Since I have several things to do under the dash, I want to replace the...
So, I'm not saying there isn't some hidden electrical trash somewhere.
But why would activating an alarm lock the thief safely in the vehicle away from the rightful owner rather than shutting off the electrical, beeping the horn, flashing the lights, stabbing them through the seat fabric, or...
Worse case, I can just unplug the electrical to the lock mechanism. But it is clearly not just a loose wire, because when the car is turned off, all the doors immediately unlock.
