so just for the curious.
-dealer called and said the truck was done and fine...said they both pressure and compression tests and everything looked normal. so I didn't bother with asking about the leak down test. I had them change the oil. I'm going to start warming the truck up longer and keep...
-I know it sounds a bit stupid, but I would expect some type of red coloration if it was really a bhg. like I said the water on the stick is perfectly clear with no odor of any type.
-haven't checked the valve in maybe a year or so. but I did replace it last time I checked it. not aware of...
thanks, just saw that. although my mocha coating is much thicker in the cap and I do have water on the stick. the oil level is also low on the stick which is a first for my truck.
still a bit confused though that at a glance there is no other fluid mixing anywhere, no smoke, no cel, nada...
2000 lc with 161k.
At 156k I had the Toyota dealer do everything under the t-belt cover.
It's been 8 months and 5k later. The last week I've heard a squeal in the bay.
Went to take a peek today and found the milkshake oil cap.
Antifreeze and trans fluid levels are clean and normal.
I have...
just put in an alpine cde-134hd wired to factory amp.
replaced front door speakers with alpine sps-610c (2x 6.5 + 2 compontent speakers)
replaced rear door speakers with alpine sps-610 (2x 6.5)
had to cut out the oem speakers and re-use the mounting. this makes them exactly the same...
Hey guys,
so im having some trouble deciding what to do to the 100. About once a year i get on a kick to spend some money on the cruiser. I was hoping you guys could steer me towards something.
-so 00' lc w/ ome heavy lift. so full 3" with coil spacer, t bars cranked ect. 315 bfg at...
-youll need to clean the k&n often, like once a month. otherwise your mileage will be destroyed.
-i never payed attention to my mileage since my comute was only 5 miles each way. I ran a k&N panel for a year w/o cleaning it. turned out i was getting 8mpg on the highway because the maf looked...
are you talking the timing belt cover.
-yes a "weep hole" would cause a vac issue.
-maybe oil pushing past cam seals since it has way to much in it. could be causing excessive crankcase pressure and pushing it past something. if its leaking out of the timing belt cover you have to change...
i once punched my horn in a little road rage attack. I had been hit by some dink a few days earlier luckily. after i punched it it would honk when i turned, or if i grabbed the top or bottom of the wheel and wiggled it.
-apparently it was broken in a way which warranted the wheel being...
i have a set. in seattle. good condition.
-im pretty bad at figuring shipping , but looks like $100ish fedex ground. i could take them to a fedex place to get a more accurate qoute.
-seen em go for around $500 but is negotiable
-almost forgot. i belive the reason is the valve angle. you can get a much greater valve angle with a true DOHC. i guess you then get into fluid dynamics ect. (well above my head). but it seems the more reliable, economy based motors have the SOHC (like ours, hybrid type if you will) while the...
-negative.
-you can find out which type of head by the the first letter after the dash. 2uz-fe = labled as SOHC. this is because they are geared together in the center of the cam. so they only have 1 cam gear (on the belt) that runs both cams. so, there are two cams on each bank but only 1...
-awesome thanks. i was worried about loosing radius. the lc turns very sharp as is. i really like that about it, ive actually had 2 different people compliment on it.
-thanks again.
-sorry not trying to jack....get 865's
thanks. ill have a look at when the weather clears. and by increasing turning radius you mean to adjust out correct? so my truck wont turn as sharp.
-sry for some reason im not quite getn the "increase turning radius"
i have the same setup as shotts just before the long travel upgrade....it rubs a bit but not bad...just annoying pulling into and out of parking lots driveways ect, bumps at full turn basicaly. gets worse with psi below 50.
-paws up damn near anything but mpgs suck.
