I have a pile of spare, random cruiser keys if you want to try them. The key for my HzJ77 is magical and starts a lot of our cruisers so you may have luck with it.

I personally would not put bedliner anywhere that will see a lot of moisture, especially if it's likely to get beat on by flying rocks. In my experience when it chips water can enter and get trapped, causing rust and lifting.
