It’s a Taco thing. There is a TSB out about it but I don’t think it fixes much (my came from the factory with the TSB in place and I still don’t like the way it shifts). One of my most disappointing things about the truck. A lot of folks end up going with a KDMax or OVTune to address this. I’ve...
As Limu said, it’s a wiring addition to the truck. These old trucks aren’t ‘ready’ for a brake controller like a new truck would be so it’s a bit more involved. But the gist of it is the trailer has brakes on it. The truck has a controller. When you plug in a 7-pin connector vs a standard flat 4...
We might be closer to 2,200 fully loaded. I do have a v8 swap so there is plenty of power and the the OME heavy rear suspension also helps. I almost didn’t order the trailer with brakes but sure am glad I did as that makes a big difference. That is probably the biggest limiting factor
That’s a slick setup. I really like the one up racks and only need to carry a single bike so I might go that route. Is it only mounted on the one side? Or is it supported on the other side as well? It’s hard to see in the pictures.
@TossYoda or @gt7058a. it’s been a few years in this thread but I’m curious if you ever finished the bike rack build? I have a kit and am looking for some pictures that will help me figure how it all goes together. Thanks in advance for your help.
I’m in the process of replacing a heater core and re-foaming the blend doors in the heater and blower. Process is going really well so far thanks to those who have come before me.
So I have a whole dash apart and everything out. I’m getting ready to put it back together and I have two questions...
Looks great and it’s a really great idea. I wish I had thought of that. Was down there this weekend and took ours through Fins and Things. The hitch was definitely the spot that hit the most. That and the exhaust hangs way low behind the tcase, scraped that a few times also. It did surprisingly...
Manufactured 06/20. Dealer ran a health check and the current calibration matches that of what should be after the TSB was performed.
Interesting note though. They didn’t say anything about the DTC that was present (P160300) which seems to point to the same issue. Sounds like I’ll be making a...
Just took my truck in and they said I’m already up to date which is disappointing. I have to say the shifting has been one of my biggest frustrations with the truck and I was really hoping this TSB would fix it.
Has anyone here done or is considering the OVTune? Seems like a lot of folks over...
Seat Belt Planet can either provide a whole new seat belt or re-web your existing retractor. Give them a call, they are great to work with and many folks on Mud have used them to upgrade their belts...
Thanks for the replies. This is very helpful. Main thing is to give a good of the body to look for bondo/rust repair. Being recently painted and from Columbia, there's a chance they could be covering something up. If the body is good, the price seems reasonable and everything else seem to be...
I'm doing some research for my dad who has a lead on this truck that sold on BaT in January. The guy who purchased the truck is a friend of my dad's and an auto-collector with some $$$ to spare. He visited the truck before purchasing, secured the winning bid on the truck, then upon further...
