Joint Fuji 60 Series Tie Rod End Kit @ FJ Parts LLC

you have to be careful with who sells you the 555 units. The 555 name is one of the most pirated names in China. Make sure the ones you buy are Made in Japan. They will have the logo cast into them and many times, space provided, the word "Japan"

Voltage drop and electric fuel pump question

Depends how "old school" the 350 is and the way it was wired. Back in the carburetor days, the voltage to the coil was taken off a now never used terminal on the starter. That terminal supplied voltage to the coil. However if this engine had a points style distributer at one time, some were...

    Terrain Tamer Parabolic Springs

A leaf spring can be designed to flex well but they need to be specific. A spring for a soft top 40 without any accessories will need a different rate than a 40 with a hardtop, roof rack, bumpers, winch, aux gas tank and a tire carrier. There's a relationship between free arch, spring rate and...

    2F health questions....what to do?

no need to rush things. spin in up a few times a day, check things in between. When your comfortable, for a minute then shut it down. Check things like plugs for oil or burn, temp and oil pressures. It's just a common sense thing. Run it for longer and longer periods and recheck compression...

no clutch engagement downey sbc 76 fj

If the clutch is engaged , the clutch disc is spinning. If the disc is spinning, the transmission input shaft is spinning. It the input is spinning and you try to pop it in gear without depressing the clutch, you'll know real fast if the clutch is engaged. Visualize the mechanics of the situation

    2F health questions....what to do?

I picked up an 82 fj40 that had been stored for 15 years. It was sitting so long the water had evaporated in the block leaving nothing but a dry caked up powder in the block. I replaced the thermostat housing, radiator, hoses and flushed the block a few times. I cranked over the engine and...

Tool for coolant block drain on FJ60?

If they are flanged with a gasket or copper crush ring ,they probably aren't a pipe plug. Probably just a metric thread with a hex drive. The theory with pipe plugs in dependent on their taper. No gasket required

Belt rubbing on TLC air pump delete bracket bolt

Close is better than rubbing. Close is only an issue with hand grenades, horseshoes and your daughter's boyfriend's hands right?

Tool for coolant block drain on FJ60?

I haven't needed a metric set yet but they are available. I use pipe plugs on air injection rails. It seems 3/8 and 10mm are close enough, as are 13mm and 1/2" They are obviously out there, at least from the big boys. Frankly, I'm not sure the pipe plugs aren't actually SAE . Every air injection...

    Anyone recommend a starter?

sometimes that spinning slower situation can be cured with better cables and a fresh battery. Usually #1 welding cable is good. The cable you buy from a welding shop beats the off the shelf Autozone stuff

    Trail Tailor Offerings

Just call them. the Cruiser radiators don't move fast enough to stock a bunch of them but they get one out very quickly. They'll add trans coolers if you need or change hose fittings for you or other minor modifications.

    Trail Tailor Offerings

Ron Davis are pricey but the fit is good. Probably because Ron is local to me and in the late 90's I dropped a 40, 55 and 60 radiator off to him so he could start building cruiser radiators. There was nothing before that and the factory radiators had trouble keeping up with V-8 swaps in AZ. He...
