    72k mile 1 owner SCORE!!!!!!!!!

Something about the combination of the wheels and graphics on the 92 just looks completely right to me.

$5,000 to spend on drivetrain upgrades. Ideas?

Gears/lockers would be my first priority, I have 4.88s and air lockers sitting on one of my workbenches waiting to go in mine. Transfer case gears could be nice but that depends on use as far as if they're a worthwhile improvement. A floater rear from an FZJ80 would get you better rear brakes...

    Reborn VX next stage seats

It should work fine, could double check to see what fuse the Falcon has for the power seats just to see if you're in the ballpark with the 80's wiring but odds are there won't be any issues there. You're correct that 12V is 12V as far as a seat is concerned, I have powered and heated Subaru...

    softened cylinder walls after boring?

That'd be an issue with the newer GT500s that have aluminum blocks with plasma sprayed bore liners 150 microns thick but not the brick s***house that is the iron 1FZ block. Boring the 1FZ the normal .5 mm (basically .020) or 1 mm (basically .040) over bore that standard replacement pistons are...

?? about installing Acura RDX seats, airbags and wiring ??

If it makes you feel safer you could fill the connector with silicone or potting epoxy instead of cutting the connector off and capping each conducter. Mine are just left disconnected on the Subaru seats I have with nothing else done with no issues but understandably what might be acceptable to...

Toreson all gears differential vs Truetrac all gears diff

They are still a limited slip which means they require some wheel speed differential between the two sides to work which is not conducive to most offroad stuff where you don't want to have a wheel spin at all if possible. I have a 33 spline Truetrac in another of my vehicles, it's great for a...

Door locking gremlins and electrical connectors

For future reference Toyota uses a number of Sumitomo MT 090 Connectors of which that looks to be of the 8 position unsealed variety with two empty pins. One side would run around 4-5 bucks with a full set of pins, there's a handful of sources around but they're not nearly as common as Delphi...

    1fz-fe engine management upgrades

That's good to hear, I might have to try that out as well after I finish off swapping over my supercharged VVT 6.0 from its current home to its new one (not the 80, I doubt anyone but me would appreciate hearing a whirring T-trim Vortech all day on a trail). CELs and readiness tests have been at...

    1fz-fe engine management upgrades

Well one potential issue I can think of off the top of my head would be the stock ECU tests the catalyst readiness by changing the amount of fuel both rich and lean at cruise while comparing the upstream and downstream O2 sensors for a reaction of a certain amount within a certain period of time...

    1fz-fe engine management upgrades

It'd be a first for me if a manufacturer/distributor had the engine management locked out completely from the start. The only reason I even suggested it is generally a lot of tuners will lock an ecm after they do a calibration/tune, when done well it's not a big deal other then you have to...

    1fz-fe engine management upgrades

What kind of set up do they need to do? If they have done one of a given combination (like say a 1FZ, the closer to stock the better for a general starting point) then if they keep a halfway decent file database there should be a base calibration available in some form to build off of. The other...

    Unused brackets underneath 91 FJ80

Look like the running board/side step brackets to me.

    It's the PIN-7 mod

Like LS1FJ40 said a hazard switch can be used instead of a CDL switch. You do have to trim off a rib from the hazard switch to do so since the CDL plug is slightly different from the hazard plug but it's pretty straight forward.

how to install WRX seats / sort of !!

I did a variation of this using a heated power driver side and heated manual passenger side (not pictured) out of an 02 Outback. To adapt the stock subaru power slider you do need to build basic cross rails as the Subaru sliders are roughly 3" wider than the Toyota ones. Mine ended up being...

    "Un" Swap??

Honestly though, for the amount of time, labor, and money you would be ahead to find a stock cruiser with a 2F already if that's what you want unless you find one where everything else is exactly what you want except for it having a V8 conversion.

    "Un" Swap??

You'd have to find mounts and bellhousing mounts for a 2F from either someone on 'Mud or order them from SOR most likely. These are hot riveted from the factory, I suppose your best option would be to bolt them in using appropriately sized bolts in Grade 8 (probably overkill since the bolts...

Probably be cheaper to get another case. Any idea what caused them to grenade in the first place?

Fj 40 engin swap, adapters problem

19 spline tcase and h41 on the tag for transmission points to a split case, might get more results stating it's a split case transfer case as most fj40s use the earlier one piece case that had a coarser spline count.

    Ever made rear wheel wells?

Pretty much what the trailer fenders I refer to do. Just an arch large enough to fit a 35 when the suspension is bottomed out.. Added a noticable amount of floor space for speakers or a small tool box and looks better in my opinion.

is this rear sill worth saving......

Can you weld and do you have basic tools? You can make a rear sill from box tubing, won't become a catch all for moiature and dirt like the factory c channel is.
