so for normal speed wheeling ie not offroad racing over washboard roads the 5125 should suit me just fine since the only difference is the reservoir which really only aids in keeping fluid cooler or am i just completely wrong
thanks for all the info
Bryon
very good now the valving prob is done what is the advantage of the 5125 to the 5150 those seem to be the two in my price range right now
thanks to all
Bryon
alright i looked at all the searches and still lost. did the soa on the 60 about two years ago and bought cheap skyjackers or ranchos cant remember but looking to upgrade just a little. looking at the 5100, 5125 and the 5150. Now the questions is the valving different for them i cant seem to...
ok final thought here should i just suck up the fj80 ends it is after all bout 90% off road or fork over the bucks for rod ends. Also keep in mind the misses is already fed up with me spending money on the beast.
thanks all
Bryon
am i just out to left field with this question. just want to know if the chevies are any stronger or am i wasting my time or are rod ends any better or just stick with what i have and get used to replacing them
thanks for your time
Bryon
i looked through the search but still scrtching my head here. Gone through three different marlin fj80 tie rod ends and am starting to wonder what is the next stronest thing and how may i get there cheaply. Is it the chevy one tons and how do i ream out the marlin arms and i guess reusing the...
sorry been away for a while. jto finally sent out the spacers said they had to get more machined. And as for the bolts i still went out and bought longer ones but call me crazy i like a little thread engagement. except for that and grinding the tab off the caliper everything went as according...
thanks all finally found out its 3/4 of an inch and you need to buy new bolts too. finished it up tonight and i finally have brakes that i feel comfortable with after 3 years
thanks all
Bryon
thats the idea i had seems like the bolts they give re also too short. Just to clarify rotor bolted on place pads and caliper on rotor and space bracket so the caliper is tight to bracket. Now the spacer inthe caliper should be all the way set into the caliper right???
thanks
already did the 4runner swap as for the acronym they have to start somewhere dont they. im not worried about the pedal feel i just would like to get the brakes back swapped out master and all now doing new lines and all that and rear drums needed redone completely so since i hate drums its on...
posted in the 60 section but to no avail. Recieved the jt outfitters rear disk conversion and go to put it on and it doesnt have the six washer style spacer which i think i need to space the bracket. all i have is the 4 banana looking ones which i think are for the 40s. Anyone done the...
so no one has any useful info for me at all? Its mostly a trail rig i am running 40s and the drums need a total rebuild and i just hate drums. so no one at all has done the rear disk brake conversion? I didnt think this should be in the hardcore section but guess i should try there
thanks...
just got the package and go to put it on and it seems as though it is missing six spacers. I think that the banana looking spacers are for a 40 and it needs six almost washer looking spacers for the 60. And my package has none and it seems that the caliper is sitting too close. anyone have...
