    Transfer Case Leak

Last I checked you will have to remove the transfer from the transmission and open it to get the actuator out. Also put gear oil in your transfer not WS ATF.

    Sliders for 2010 4Runner Trail

Do you have KDSS on your TE? If so where do those lines run? The lines will have an effect on the design of the mount of the sliders. I'm sure a lot of the 4th Gen R&D can be leverage for different mounting solutions, but the devil will be in the detail.

Electrical: Why LED bulb doesn't work?

Hmmmm, OK. This is now like looking at half a puzzle without the OEM wiring diagram to see what and where the G and W/B goes. So everything is fine with a normal bulb in the side marker, but goes fubar with an LED in it. The 1156 is listed as single contact casings, is the bulb single or dual...

Electrical: Why LED bulb doesn't work?

Sorry missed your wiring diagram link. Does G mean ground?? If so the sidemarker should never work as both ends are connected to ground. Seems like the ground on your front orange might be faulty then. So what happens is the front orange and side marker runs in series to the side marker ground...

Electrical: Why LED bulb doesn't work?

Most flasher circuits need a certain amount of current to be drawn to operate properly. LEDs do not draw enough current to work properly in most cases. To test put the LED in parallel with a normal bulb on the front. What SW did with the front bumpers was to a load resistor in parallel to the...

    2010 4Runner?

The V6 09 4WD came in around 4300lb, so the 2010 gained another 400lbs over the previous generation. The 4th Gen gained 400lbs over the 3rd gen. So in 2 gens it has gone up about 800lbs.

    2006 4runner Tire Pressure Sensor

Check you spare tire's pressure as well. Either they are clueless or their equipment doesn't work well with the ECU. I think they just need to foot the bill for you to take it to a Toyo dealer to be fixed. Disconnecting the battery shouldn't make a difference.

4th gen 4Runner which model should one buy?

I second the trail edition idea (if within budget). The Sport has a number of additional features over the SR5 that you might like (or not). I second the 05+ idea as the V6 got the 5spd box and the V8 got a nice bump in power. The 03-04s are nice and probably pretty cheap now. All 4th Gen...

    Prado/ GX470 ARB Bumper

Let us know how it pans out. My understanding was that it will require quite a bit of work to make it fit on the GX (trimming, bracket modifications, etc).

    Prado/ GX470 ARB Bumper

Do you have a local fabricator that can adapt the bumper for the GX? AFAIK the Prado bumper will not be a bolt on for the GX, and will require quite a bit of work to make it fit. Just FYI.

    100 VS V8 4Runner Drive Train

Please explain which parts are steel vs aluminum? I think I debunked that rumor appropriately earlier in this specific thread, if you were talking about the transmission. The tranny on both trucks are the same.

Would GX be a good substitute for a 100 Series?

Had ours configured at the dealer. They can set a number of options. Unfortunately don't have the service manual for the GX, so don't know the steps for DIY (might require Toyota based scan tool).

Would GX be a good substitute for a 100 Series?

You should see hydraulic lines running on the side of the frame rail (driver side). Also check the front lower control arms, you will see a beefy swaybar that has a link going to the lower control arm, instead of the swaybar link going to the spindle.

Would GX be a good substitute for a 100 Series?

Personally we found the GX provided more headroom and legroom than the 100 in the first 2 rows. The 3rd row on the GX is very limited, but the 100 is not much better. The 100 is wider and provide more interior width. The cargo area on both are the same in total volume, but the 100 probably...
