I bought two replacements from here and the range is horrible. I have to hold the transmitter right next to the front windshield to unlock/lock the doors.
It works but the range is unacceptable.
The original OEM master works >10 feet away.
Buyer beware...
I saw the low fuel light blinking today.
I've never seen it blink before.
I immediately knew I was about to go dry. Found the nearest gas station and filled up.
I am about to buy a new windshield. I just bought a new windshield gasket and new throttle cable.
The current windshield has a massive multiple cracks. I haven't been pulled over yet.
In my vehicle, somewhere between the CDL connector and the CDL dashboard switch, there is an open. I can no longer control the actuator using the dashboard control switch using the OEM wiring.
I bypassed the OEM internal wiring and now use a monetary switch to engage/disengage the center diff...
I did not exactly fully resolve the issue.
I managed to unlock the center diff. I reached up on top of the center diff and disconnected the connector. I applied 12V power to the proper connectors. +12 and ground with a temporary homemade wire/crimp connector. When I applied power the center...
No, not necessarily. The IAC could be bad, even if it tested out good per the manual. I tested the bad IAC with an ohm meter as outlined in the owners manual. It tested out good. Even though it was really bad.
There's another way to determine if the IAC is bad. It requires hooking up to a 12V...
Fixed!

I would say yes.
For me, I lost my cold high idle start. It's been gone for months and months dating back to last winter. I went nuts looking for the issue. Readjusted everything I could adjust. Cleaned everything I could clean. Measured to make sure all components were in working order.
Get...
I run them without the front center caps.
I've not done it myself, but if I were to modify something to get the center caps to fit, I'd carefully modify the grease cap. Some mild flattening of the grease cap and you're there!
I'm sure you know already... make sure to use the correct lug nuts...
Corrected.
I sat in both the LX600 and GX460. Realistically, the LX600 is way too big for what we need. Kids are grown and out of the house. I have two already (1994 80/2002 100) that I'm happy with. The GX460 looks like the next vehicle for us.
I was at the San Diego international car show today. Went straight to the 2023 GX460 on display... and I've looked at it. Sat in it. Caressed it. I don't own one. Yet.
That's what I did today.
Check the that ventilation fan is working. That it's actually spinning.
Make sure the heat ducts are connected. Drivers side down by your knees under the panel. That can get dislodged or disconnected. It's a plastic duct just underneath the panel. Align the two pieces and push them together...
I'll start with the low hanging fruit first I've not thought of. The Idle Air Controller is pretty low hanging.
Thanks again.
Acceleration from a stop is hesitant but it will accelerate. I have to keep my foot on the gas at stops to keep the engine idling high enough to keep from stalling...
Thanks baldilocks!
I've not tested or inspected the idle air controller.' l'll have to dive in and research the idle air controller.
Separately, in general, which mechanisms allow for the high idle (fan roar) at cold startup? Subsequently what mechanisms allow for the idle to back down as the...

Okay. Understood about the dashpot. Makes sense.
Nothing wet at all. It sat for a good long while in my garage. It sat for about 6 months in my garage (it was driven around the block once a week...
That's why
Did you look at that section? I don't see it answering the last couple questions I posted.
Please offer more if you understand it differently than I do.
I've read that section many times before I posted up.
That section does not address basic questions about the dashpot:
What...
My vehicle no longer has that cold morning roar to life with the gradual RPM reduction back to idle.
Startups are at just below idle with a gradual reduction to below idle.
I've changed out the throttle position sensor and adjusted it properly. It's not that. The old TPS was working perfectly...
