    I had the EXACT same issue and the only the thing that worked was new drums. I can't explain why the new drums solved the issue, but they did.

    Should I spray anything in my distributor? Surface rust….

    Hi everyone, I changed the cap and rotor today in my 1987 and I noticed some surface rust inside of the distributor. Is it advisable to spray anything inside of the distributor to mitigate the rust and keep things moving smoothly? Would something like WD40 be good? Any ideas? Thank you...
