Mine runs 70-90 deg C when on highway, 100 km/h, ~ 25 deg. ambient temp, 1HDT with A442F auto box.
Using the same sender unit with union from Wholesale, running Castrol Transmax Z ATF oil.
Why not rotate the cooler 90 deg and make flange to fit the manifold and hosetail on the other side to fit existing feed ? (that is, rotate 90 from the first pic or move it over the centre from the last)
2% biodiesel lubricates more then any available additive will.. http://www.johnfjensen.com/Diesel_fuel_additive_test.pdf
If the V-power has biodoesel in it and you compare to a non-bio diesel fuel, itmight indeed run a but quiter and your IP will love it.
Any progress here ?
I ended up not using the madman fittings but did my own, see pics. I recently added trans oil temp (last one I did not use) so I have all functions working, except for an oil level switch (would need a 1HZ sump for that)
Union for the trans sensor oil came from Wholesale...
Finally fitted the last sender : transmission oil temp. I bought a new union that had a VDO sender tapped in to it and installed it today, all good, but had to take out the front driveshaft to make some room to work and had to clean 18 years of goo before I could cleanly remove the old union...
If you disconnect the swaybar and lift one corner with a garage jack, the springs come out easily. Just did a front 2" lift like that yesterday and assume rear will go the same.
They actually sell kits... part no. 04477-60010
I replaced my lsvp as it was leaking. While checking the new one I noticed that the little pin sticking out and that touches the rod going the the axle, can be pulled outward if you try a little. Am I correct that this happens under brake pressure...
Don't worry... every now and then after filling up the car I still open the left hand door to find out the wheel and pedals are at the other side...
Have fun Jurgen with the set, I'm very happy with it !! I really recommend this thing to everyone !
Requires a bit of DIY but the madman works very nice. I still have to wire and install the last sensor (transmission temp)
I ended up ditching the supplied 'tube' for the coolant level as I used an adapter in the hose for the coolant temp which leaves no place for the madman supplied thingy. I...
Just rebuilt my fronts; Use Scotch-brite to clean the pistons and bore, works a treat. And the tip on pushing the pistons out while still on the car was handy. First one I tried off the car and that was horrible. 2nd I left on and pushed the pistons up to the disc. Easy as.
Thanks for the good...
I'm rebuilding my front and turns out my discs are under the limit (quite a bit actually) and the wheel bearings have some marking on them so I'll replace them too.
Now for putting the new bearings in (wheel and knuckle) I'm going to make a little tool but can anyone tell me the OD of the wheel...
LE actually makes pretty good stuff, it's not the first time I hear about it. I know about gearboxes with 90KW drives and 1000's NM of torque going through and they kept breaking. After they switched to LE, problems gone.. and hardly any oil changes needed too !
EDIT; found this after a quick...
