Slowly but surely I am making progress. Decided to make a booth in the shop to wire wheel the frame (not recommended at all) about half way through I decided it was too nasty to continue that way. My plan is to pull the frame into the driveway and finish it out there. I am however on the fence...
I'm glad to hear it gives someone hope because I don't see the light at the end of this tunnel! Unfortunately my 40 is sitting on the back burned right now
Got some more work done on the swine. I still need to get the glass and tailgate off. A few more odds and ends and the body can come off and the frame will be ready for sand blasting
Tonight went at it again tonight getting the front clip off along with the drivetrain out. I pulled the head off to see if everything was kosher and it looks pretty nasty inside. The cross hatching on the cylinder walls is almost fully gone with alot of vertical streaks not to mention the head...
I recently picked up a 1978 55 series. I might of bit off more then I can chew on this one but the plan is keeping it stock and making it nice again, aside from an ome lift and some 33 inch skinnys on factory wheels.
Got my turbo swapped yesterday and results were as planned. Lots more boost and lights quicker then ever, I'm going to do a wicked wheel here soon and hopefully get it to light even harder and quicker. Put a new synthetic winch line on and also a new clutch master, lost mine on a drive yesterday...
Unfortunately I have zero space for that. I have the issues under control now for the most part, tomorrow should be a fun day, installing an exhaust brake on it I was given a BD one so I am going to run it off my arb. Fixing my winch cable and doing a turbo swap. Hopefully should be making about...
Went out Sunday on a good adventure wheeling some trails then ended up exploring. Even got to get a road opened up again from this downed tree from a lighting strike
Limit straps worked well. I actually already have a suck down mount on my axle. I did that with the while conversion. My biggest issue is the angle it puts my winch line on since the front bumper is alot fitter out then the axle. It loads it weird and ends up hurting more then helping. And yeah...
Haven't posted in awhile. So I figured I would do an update. Fixed all the body damage. Changed spring rates again with shorter limit straps and added some rock lights I'm not too satisfied with. Winter plans are a new rear bumper. Antirock bar
