best electric fan for a 40

Ditto the Tarus fan, cheap and it looks heavyer duty than the others I have seen. Mine works great and a buddy with a heep is on his 2nd flex-rite, I think thats what he has, in 1 yr and his heep rarely runs. JL

    fj62 a/c

The switch is "conveniently" located in the pastic box that holds the evaporator. There are a few clips and screws that hold it together and the switch points to the rear on the passiger side. It is easy to figure out just a PITA to get to. You are rith about the locations of both items. It is...

    350 temp switch

I had my fan and temp gauges "T"ed off the drivers side head. The contraption stuck out so far that tha air movement on the road dropped the temp gauge to cold even though it was not. I would try to keep the switch tight to the engine. JL8)

    A/C Install

The condensor, evaporator, expansion valve(s), drier, hoses switches, and so on. Get everything that looks like it might have anything to do with the AC. You may want to look at an AC manual. You will need to build housings for in the truck and duct work. Sounds like a project to me, but I...

why is the fj62 so expensive

Like any other LAnd Cruiser, you get what ou pay for. I based my purchase of a FJ62 on what I wanted out of it and what I could put into it. I hate body work but like mechanics so high miles was no biggie but rust was a red flag. I just write up a tally sheet of what I want and don't want and...
