Lights are aftermarket and wiring was re-done by the previous owner. I had a conversation with the seller about a few things and he sent me a couple extra photos. From the pictures he sent, it looks like the only rust is some surface spotting on the inside of the tub. Everything in the...
Just talked with a guy who has one for sale. He's asking $1300. It looks to be in good shape. He said the previous owner had restored it to tow behind an old jeep in car shows. The original lunette and drop leg are gone in favor of a standard ball and a more modern drop foot. That's not a...
After some discussion, my wife and I have decided to look for a M416 or M101 Canadian to use for camping. Ultimately, we plan to modify it into an expedition-type trailer but that will be a slow-ish build so we want it to be something we can use as I work on it.
I have found a couple M416's...
Man, I started reading this thread back when you were trying to get it to CM08, lost track of the thread for several years and now just finished reading through it. Congrats on a great trailer and congrats on your growing family! I'm gearing up to (hopefully) start my own trailer build in the...
I have a set that looks exactly like that. Install was relatively easy. If you don't have the OE threaded holes for the shoulder mount, you do have to fish a nut/washer through with some string and stick it in place with some epoxy putty until you get the bolt in but that's not too bad. I'm not...
I'm moving and really don't want to move these parts!
Price for all of the below: $cost of shipping or your gas to pick them up
I'm in Fort Collins if you are interested in pickup/meeting.
These are the OEM front seats from my '87 FJ60 with the gray interior. These DO NOT include the...
Ya, it's a pain. My buddy and I did mine in about 8 hours taking our time. While I was in there, I replaced all the foam seals between all the ducting and on the HVAC flaps. Adds some time but it'll probably disintegrate as you pull it apart anyway. Should be able to replace most of it with...
Wow, holy dead thread resurrection!
I actually gave all the remaining parts I had to a local a couple weeks ago. I updated the first post to reflect nothing remaining since my reply will bump this back to the top.
Do keep an eye on your tongue weight. I pulled a car carrier (about 1100 lbs) with a 3200lb car on it so total of about 4300lbs. Problem was it was WAY too tongue heavy so even with the OME heavies my back end sat so low my front tires kept locking up every time I would try to brake. The...
The head was shipped out this morning.
All other parts are still available if anyone wants/needs them.
I am willing to meet folks within a reasonable distance of Fort Collins, CO, too if that makes it easier for anyone.
Personally, I have Osram's in my Subaru. They're great but I stuck a set of these in the IPF's on my 60. HOLY HELL BRIGHT. I sincerely wish they came in a size that fit the housing on my Subaru because the Osram's look like factory halogens by comparison.
Here goes:
All parts are off an '87 FJ60 2F with about 200k at the time they were pulled:
Head with rocker assembly (no cover but I'll throw in the original head bolts if you want them) (good working condition when it came off the truck) - SOLD
Pushrods and lifters (good working condition...
I had a similar issue, my trunion bearings were shot because the steering arm had worked loose from the knuckle. There's a lot of other possibilities too so your best bet is to get that corner up and start with external parts and work your way into the knuckle until you find the failure. Could...
