Anyone ride 4 stroke MX bikes?

I have the Honda version with training wheels,a trx450,it has been problem free since 04'.It's going to self destruct now! I have heard that there are two models now,a race version, and an enduro version. The race Tie valves, enduro, stainless valves.Tie valves lots-o-adj.stainless not so much.The...

    Engine turning-Metal finish question.

Cut that valve lapping tool (good idea) in half stick it in your drill,or drill press, some coarse compound and I bet that would ROCK on a curved surface. I'd like to see a tank done that way. Pics!

    Another boiler question...

If I was going from pex to copper,I'd try to put that connection in an accesible location. It seems wierd to me to have a connection other than a soldered one where you couldn't get to it.

    Jerry can base dimension?

I've done a few,and it's allways better to build with a known unit than to go off a measurement. Some tanks have more of a bead, some are plastic, and different alltogethor. It's nice to have everthing to mock up while fabbing,it will pay off in the end. If you build off measurements you might...

    Engine turning-Metal finish question.

I wasn't aware that it was called engine turning. I've been doing that at work here and there,it comes out allright. On a flat piece of sheet that wooden dowel trick would be great, but on a tank,I'd use a small course scotch-brite pad on a 90 deg. diegrinder.I've been using the center of the...

My last bumper project, what do you think?

It's bolted to the rear of the frame,in ten places. The back of the bumper has 3/8" plate mounts that give spacing over the rivots, and when welded to the bumper give 5/8" of threaded holes. The license plate will be remounted to the sheetmetal under the icechest. It all opens with one adjustable...

My last bumper project, what do you think?

He runs 36"s most of the time, the 38"s are his snow tires. He wanted it to mount up when he got a spare, but will keep a 36" on most of the time. As far as solid,I built one for my dads J**oops and he has pulled a heavily loaded trailer through the Rubicon at least three times with no issues.You...

My last bumper project, what do you think?

Well here's my last bumper project. It's based off a Butch Built design that I'm modifing for personal preferance. This one was built for a rig used in search & rescue, and has high antenna mounts, factory tailight holes, will also hold ice chest, two jerrys, and a spare up to the 38" seen on the rig...
