I agree that my locked vehicle is a secure location but obviously comply with your local laws. Beyond that it is a personal and situational decision. I’m generally tired of people making criminals out of the victims of crime. To answer the question, I just keep it in the door pocket.
Anyone know a good Toyota shop in the Spokane or CDA area? I have some friends looking at a 2003 Sequoia and would like a prebuy inspection. They talked to one of the dealerships down there, not sure which one and they are booked out a couple of weeks. Places to stay away from would be...
The step is handy, I climb around the way you described but sometime you just need a step there. Also comes in handy for tying out dog, leaning a shovel, shotgun, or rifle.
Double check the connector is the correct one then double check the connector number is correct. Which part of the connector you are looking at dictates the correct numbering pattern. Said another way, if you looked at both ends next to each other the pin numbering would be opposite. Another...
You can open the fuse tray, but it is a pain. see link. I use the fuse taps as well and have auxiliary blue sea panel on passenger side for my aux battery as well.

Not a whole lot to say other than I’m happy with the rear bumper. Glad I got the long arm single, swing out. Used POR15, details in my build thread. The new hinge style is stout and haven’t had any problems since I did the retrofit, but I don’t use if often fully loaded with both cans. I also...
If you ever add Jerry can or spare tire carrier it may block those reverse lights or might make them less effective. Something to think about before you delete the holes.
I don’t think there would be a way to acces that plate to bolt it to the frame as that plate sits on the outside of the rail. Might be worth a call to ask them how the recovery points have held up under hard pulls as I would be surprised if they have not received some feedback either good or...
You can’t realty see anything once installed due to plate 1. Just judging by what I can see and kinda feel, I’d say #5 is pretty much against the frame.
I got it in summer of 2019, after that Moab trip. Been happy with it, swing out has been great since the new hinge bracket. Coastal is great to deal with. Your idea of cutting a larger hole would require you to go inboard from the light cutout and I think you would hit the frame. I‘ll look...
#5 does not bolt to the frame. I got the long arm so I have one swing out. Not sure if he is showing the beefed up hinge bracket he made for me to support the long arm. I didn’t like the ide of those latche hooks in middle of the bumper. I also reinforced the vertical parts with some extra...
That’s exactly what I posted, it’s about as simple as it can get with low draw LED. Not sure why this is being over complicated but sometimes these threads get momentum…
Just stay at or equal to factory light amperage/wattage and no need to over think it.
