Got this 97 in the shop kept blowing the gauge fuse.
Wire for pin 3 of ec1 (main power from gauge fuse) over the starter rubbed through and intermittently shorting on the firewall.

By themselves, yes, the compression numbers are low.
HOWEVER......
Compression tests are really easy to get large variances with.
if you're really concerned about it, get a leakdown test done.
it's far more accurate, and if you have high leakdown, you can tell where it's leaking :)

The round dealie is for the heat riser tube, as stated.
The headlight PROBABLY has a blown fuse.
If it is a blown fuse, the question is WHY did the fuse blow?
Bad wiring, melted connectors, chafed wires, melted fuse block, etc.
OR, the fuse just died. It happens...

This is a non-issue that gets blown out of proportion (google tranny frank, backwoodsgoop, or ih8mush for some entertainment) for no good reason. there's been multiple topics about it, people have tried using thinner lubes, greases, heavy oils, etc, to varying...
The grease does a good job of staying in the birf.

Now you can kinda see how the grease is just slightly discolored, the kinda greenish tint. so it's just a tad thinner than it would be when it was new. The other side was getting almost runny, but I didn't...
Time to take it to a different shop.
Unplug the vacuum line to the EGR and cap it, see if it stops.
clean the throttle body with some sort of intake cleaner/carb cleaner crap.
check vacuum line routing/condition.
