Ya I have an electric excavator which is pretty nice... I've got a 20hp motor sitting here that I've been thinking of converting an old tractor with... Would save a bundle on lawn cutting...
Yep, I hear you on the commuting thing. My fiancee is learning quickly how much I enjoy buying new vehicles... Bought two last week 😅
One is strictly a commuter... Found a deal on a 2017 e-golf and figured we might as well give it a try. She's driving around 100km per day if she takes the car...
I only have the pickup, and 40, not a troopy (yet).
More or less done nothing, just oil changes and changed the oil in the trans and transfer case, it's my daily driver at the moment.
Have a pile of spare parts just need to find time to tackle it.
Planning to rebuild knuckles, new tie rod...
Got annoyed with finding wiper blades for the truck so finally took a little project.
Harvested a couple of wiper arms with some bolt cutters, will see how it goes with these and if it's good will do the same on Andy.
Now I can use the cheap and plentiful Volvo wipers
Had a buddy come by with his motorhome, asked if I could take a look at his brakes... Pulled the rear dually tire off and found this.
What do you think? Good for another couple 1000 km?? :grinpimp:
Have you seen the arc droid? It's pretty cool for a hobbyist... Uses a normal torch, sits off to the side, seems to work well... I've been debating one

Ya... I don't use my trailer a ton, but it's pretty handy for moving dirt around and such with the hydraulic dump, and also I can't really fit the excavator in the back of the truck...
Does someone have a dxf or other CAD file for the exhaust flange on a 1PZ?
I'm planning to weld up a new turbo manifold similar to what I've done on my 3B and would ideally start with getting a flange cut on the waterjet.
Ya probably a good idea, one of my relays died and got stuck drawing some power even whether vehicle was off, whoever wired mine didn't have an ignition cut off....
Yes, saw it a couple times. he's one of the folks we used to go wheeling with, but he bought this long after I left.
Nice guy, as far as I know he did the swap quite well.
Found an old picture of Andy not long after I bought him, not sure exactly how old, but definitely before the tub swap and spring over.
Think I took the picture in Courtenay
