    I recently sold my FJ62 in favor of a 4th gen 4Runner and like it very much. I'd say the major consideration is what your plans for it are as 4x4. I'm toning down what type of trails I do anf the 4th gen is proving to be a good choice for my needs.

    Yes, V8 & X-REAS Scott, very nice highway driver. I'll be doing much less off road with this and a lot more cross country so it should do just fine for my needs.

    Like Mark, my pic was before going to the 5 speed and there's no interference anywhere. It's a good choice for more room, cup holders, etc but not security.

    It's a far cry from the 60 series but I knew that going in to the change. It did okay for a stock Runner and I did test the factory 'slider' which failed. :lol:

    Coming over from the 60 series

    This is my first visit to this forum since until the other day I've been an FJ62 guy. I just moved to an '05 4runner limited with all the bells & whistles (almost). This is quite a dramatic change for me. Took it off road yesterday for what I'm sure was it's first time ever.
