Used the copper spray on both sides of the head gasket of a 1963 Dodge M37 flat head 6 cylinder. No issues so far after several years of running. The head gasket of the 230 cubic inch flat head 6 is ALL copper. No other compound on the gasket.
Discount does 95% of the tire business that I need. For the other 5%, I use my local Big O tire store or Roberts tire.
Purchased military tires through JEG's of all places. Everyone else wanted $100 for shipping. JEG's was free shipping to my door. Who doesn't like saving a C note from...
Never found a solution for the cracked hoses. Friends FJ62 has been down for nearly a year. In the garage and lots of old age problems, both vehicle and person.
Why do I have to ALWAYS go into grill Nazi mode? The descriptions say full frame off resto, no expense spared. Then I see this. Do I HAVE to start bringing my Japanese philips screwdrivers to these events??
As far as the oil pressure goes, my '76 was running low pressure on the gauge similar to yours. My oil sending unit was original. Toyota still makes these units (if your sender is like my '76) I replaced the sender with a Toyota factory unit, and the pressure went way back up. See photo.

Dont assume that the fuses are good by a visual in the glass. This bit me on a Mitsubishi truck in 1979. The fuse had opened at the metal end cap and LOOKED fine. Get out your VOM and test each one.
FWIW, My '76 FJ40 was showing low oil pressure over the last few years. The original sending unit was getting weak. The part is still used on newer Toyota vehicles. I replaced mine with a new Toyota sender and bingo, pressure back up from being just above the L. Pic is with the new sending unit...

Replaced the rubber brake lines on the FJ40. Purchased the lines from a vendor in Texas. Hoses only came in 17" and 22" lengths. Had to have 3 of them shortened at a local hydraulic shop to 8" for the FJ40. The shop had the metric fittings I needed.
See if your distributor #'s meet this Pertronix application.

I have had good luck with the Pertronix hall effect electronic ignition in the '76 Fj40 with the 2F. Stay away from the Comp cams/FAST electronic ignition systems. I had one of the FAST XR700 electronic ignition systems on the Fj when I purchased it. These have an led type of trigger that I...
Easy one today. Battery died in the driveway. 4 1/2 years on a 5 year warranty. Got lucky. New one free of charge. These are AGM batteries. No sulfuric vapors to eat the paint on the underside of the hood.
