    5.3 vortec, fuel pump?

Like ntsqd said, start by bypassing the filter. It could be a partially clogged. If that solves your problem great. If not, replace the pump. Replacing an inline pump is not difficult at all. Personally I would put it further back closer to the tank but that's just my opinion.

    5.3 vortec, fuel pump?

How far away from the tank is the inline pump? Inline pumps work fine but they have to be as close to the tank as possible. The further away they are the harder they have to work to pull the gas. This pump is 6 years old and if it had a hard life it might be dying. You might want to put a...

Effective Spring Rate: Shackle angle vs. Spring Rate

This is some interesting reading. It doesn't really go into detail regarding shackle angle and how it changes the spring rate but interesting none the less. RPM Net Tech Articles: Leaf Springs - Powered by: AFCO

    Chevy 63" Questions

If he has 2 fixed points those springs would do a lot more than just invert. I would imagine they would look like W's. I have to agree that there has to be more to it though.

    Chevy 63" Questions

He states that the first 2 sets were OEM chevy springs and the failed right away. The next sets were from different spring shops. You have the 63' chevy springs right? How are they holding up on your rig?

    Chevy 63" Questions

A 2003 1 ton truck GVW rating is 11,400lbs. Rear gross axle weight rating is 8550. I don't understand how the 1 ton truck leaf springs inverted under a 7000 lb wagon. Of all the threads I have searched and read so far this is the first I hear of any problems with the chevy springs. All the...

    Chevy 63" Questions

I figured. I would move the hangers. I wouldn't want to move the axle. But from what I noticed there isn't much room to move the front hanger. That's why I'm thinking OME fronts might be the way I will go.

    Chevy 63" Questions

I was looking at my wagon today. The fronts are 43" so the chevy 53" are 10" longer. I don't know if they would fit without building out the front frame a bit. I think the stock rears are a better choice.

    Chevy 63" Questions

They are still longer than stock rears by 5" so you would still have to relocate the hangers.

    Chevy 63" Questions

Thanks, but I think I'm going to go with OME up front. WIll the stock rears give any lift up front?

    Chevy 63" Questions

Well then I can always go back to the original plan for the front - OME.

    Chevy 63" Questions

OEM Springs are a no go. They are mangled. I would need new springs no matter what. I have no problem moving the hangers. Unless there is another reason not to use the chevy springs up front. Originally I was thinking OME for the front.

    Chevy 63" Questions

My understanding is that if you have a taller mount you can use a shorter shackle. You are looking for 2" of lift and I'm looking for 3". Heckraiser said it can easily be done SUA by playing with shackle length. Next I'd like to know if anyone has done 52" or 56"-57" in the front. I...
