Ordered Brake booster and master cylinder assembly from CDAN at a good price. decided since this was the wifes kid hauler it was to important to get it right. will update with pics when i pull the parts and inspect the goods, so others may benefit if there is anything to tell. stay tuned.
We bought this one with 109 k on the odo. super clean extensive maintenance records including 90 k service. One owner. I have two other cruisers so I did alot of checking before pulling the trigger last spring. It's been driven allot including a multi state spin. I guess what I'm saying for...
Thanks TLC for the headsup. That looks doable. Did you hear the high pitched grinding noise? Being out $50 plus a tow if it doesnt work is worth a try. I work on the 80 all the time but this beast is new to me. Dont have a FSM. did you need it for this rebuild?
Waiting on cruiserdan to quote...
The wife's 99 cruiser is bleeding my pocket book today. Seems like a common problem with this year model. ABS and brake lights flashing, beeping noise and high pitched whining and metal grinding noise from under the brake fluid reservoir. To the dealer we go - hydraulic booster out so all...
This has been posted before but for reference this is the pioneer single din that has a ipod control chord out the back. I have it running into the back of the ashtray which holds my ipod perfectly. close it and you dont see it and doesnt take up space. I generally have it just on shuffle and it...
Just to update this intriguing saga. Decided it was indeed "preventative maintenance". Placed an order with CDan yesterday. New plug wires here I come.
I expected to change them as part of a tune up but after having these conversations I wanted to be more informed. Now I can explain it to my Father in law when we're under the hood this weekend. Thanks for the info guys. And also "GreenTruck" thanks for the info on the OME stock height...
I am certainly no expert on this, this is why I am asking the question.. if my 97 still has the original plug wires and runs fine why replace them? I know allot of guys on here do this as part of their tune up process so I figured I must do this as well...Just in conversation I mentioned what...
Just did the opposite a month back. Bought a hundy to go with the 80!! Of course its the :princess: 100. no mods for now. Going on a month long trip from the top of Arkansas to Florida to N. Alabama next month. Trying to decide which one to take. The :princess: says the 80, doesn't want to mess...
yeah I'm thinking it wont be so mean with the wife and two kids at the church picnic, but I'm getting ready to lift the 80 and "Bump it" bumper so maybe we can caravan to balance out the universe.
I live over in Harrison, AR. I do a good bit of fly fishing on the white river. You get ready for a trip, give me a shout and we'll slay some rainbows. Here's a couple of pics for some motivation.
Thanks guys, I never owned a LC that had less than 150k. Feel's like a little baby. The wife isnt gonna let me mess with this one too much. She's gonna keep it for herself a while but I'm sure I'll get my mit's on it at some point. I just sold the 60 and Ive got more to do on the 80 so I'm...
