    Also - the C2.8 became stupid expensive... that matters too IMO... the isb170's cold be had reasonably for a while... they seem a little scarcer but still reasonable

    I (not sure about this formatting/ indentation) I love the 6cyl cummins and you are right to call out that it can be handled in many more applications than peeps think... I just tend to "over-do" the fab work and when an engine bay is clear/open I like to add or reinforce the factory frame...

    I have both (well actually 3) ECM's one stock one with +40hp fuel & 3500 rpm (using this one) one with +100hp and 4k rpm... (but I do not have compounds / airflow req'd for this) but had it programmed "for someday" not sure what weights are quite different - I was agreeing / stating our shop...

    Definitely depends on what fueling profile the isb170 has - there’s a tuner/racer on UK (Iveco) that can do all sorts of ECM tuning - to match your planned use, fuel and air flow (turbo) My Eng+trans was 178lbs less than a somewhat stripped Ram 3500 p-pump 12v that I sold maybe 6yrs ago.     thx man - yeah ... the diagonal brace I could have gone a bit more rearward and reduce it's impact/profil but I never plan to run doors and wanted a bit extra boulder or stump "stoppers" lol :)

    Thx man... yeah, the 4-point harness really locks the front passengers down but I was thinking either roll-cage padding on the B-Pillar area near head rest... that's the major "close point" for knocking heads around... or just helmets when getting serious/off-road

    Nice... likely that HX30W will help and maybe a FMIC or something post-turbo cooling improvement may yield more power ... was the desire for the 6BT power related or mainly vibrational or both ??

    have you considered fueling options and more air flow/boost to the 4bt?? slight power bump and tune may get you what you seek?? if not yeah - 6BT in an 80 would want a new HD frame rails

    Love it for this vehicle weight and setup... Torque for days, wayyyyyy less vibration than several 4BTs I have built, perfectly matched to this 1-ton 40's setup... and about 5.25k vehicle weight Engine height needs accommodated but having two less cylinders helps a lot for these smaller builds.

    Love the design. Some focus and attention to a few moments on the install and forget about saving your hands lol... takes some elbow grease! Changing 40's with tire irons.... but specifically - about 200miles... it's mainly off-load and weekend drive to sports/coffee etc... it is street legal...
