I have been using Envirosafe Industrial 134A for at least 5 years in 3 vehicles that had R12 originally. I love the stuff. You can top off your R12 system (no need to evacuate). No need to change fittings, and no need to change type of oil. Excellent cooling too.
However, if you do change...
Guys...........Thanks to all for your comments. The more shoulders I can cry on....the better. I'm in the process of dealing with insurance.......
Good to hear from you, Slapshot and 60 40. And, thanks for posting the picture.
I was sitting in my Cruiser letting it idle to warm it up. Long story, but I apparently had a fuel leak that ignited. The engine compartment is burned. All the wiring and everything rubber and plastic under the hood is gone. Damage inside the cab does not seem all that bad. The dash pad is...
advicenna 110.............. if you tell me what master and slave bore sizes you are interested in, I can calculate the expected travel on the slave rod. If you go too large in master bore (like the 1" size) you could possibly push the piston of the slave cylinder out the back end if you are...
Here is a picture. Not sure why the front and rear weights don't add up to the total. But, I did not go to a certified scale....just the city dump scales.
I weighed the FJ-40 with everything loaded as I intend to use it on the trail. That is, the hard top was on, I was carrying spare gas, water, and tools, and I was sitting in the driver seat (I weigh 200 pounds). The front axle weighed 2380 pounds, and the rear axle weighed 2660 pounds. Although...
If you hear a whine (as opposed to a belt screeching), that describes a pump problem. Pumps whine when they are low on fluid. Is it possible you ran it low on fluid and you now have air in the box and system? Good luck.
Seems to me that if you are bleeding totally by gravity (no pumping with the clutch pedal) that you would have to make sure the slave cylinder is completely pushed out (rod is pushed as far out as possible) so the slave can fill completely with fluid.
Has anyone made their own spare tire/wheel cover out of metal? Any sources for someone that fabricates metal covers?
I'm wanting one for a 35" spare. Any advice??
Thanks!!
Give us some help, Rainman. Did you measure the stroke (on the bench) of your 1" bore master? And where did you get it? Do you have a part # for it?
Thanks!
Good for you, Rainman! Where did you end up buying the 1" bore Master. Did you measure (on the bench) how much stroke it has? Am interested in getting one myself.
