I also just went through the same issue. 1991 Surf. Small O-ring behind an access plate. I had to pull the pump to get at it. 6hours and a 25 cent O ring later no more leak.
1986 22re 4cyl 5spd IFS. Not much rust.
Runs well. The silver on red adds to the appeal of this truck! You'll need some new tires (I sold my mud
tires and rims separately).
This will make a great truggy project or ghost access vehicle for the climbers out there. $1000.

It will be interesting to see where the cracks are. Or even what the new bracket looks like. The factory bumper (from wheat I hear) is not from ARB or TJM. So, the mounts may be fewer or lighter. Sometimes these recalls are over a silly little stitch weld that really won't affect anything, just...
a little recal on your LC200 "factory bull bars" I Got this of Surf.au
If so,
take it into your nearest toyota dealer and have it inspected.
The chassis may develop cracks due to poor bullbar mount design.
If no cracks are detected you bullbar mounts will be replaced with modified ones...
Your rear springs a sacked, and ya that bush gaurd needs to go. Otherwise really nice truck!
I have had one for 2 years now. my word of advise is. don't baby it. Pound that 2L-TE untill the head cracks and replace it with a 3L head. I did mine a year ago and now have no worries of it cracking...
I bought the upgraded bearings for my 91 Hilux Surf. They are totaly wrong. If I got the original part # they fit. But the superceded part number is way to small. also the spline at the end of the drive shaft is larger then the machine surface for the bearing to ride on, which makes it...
