From what I understand the 6.2l and 6.5l have same block as 350 and where designed to be a drop in replacement. They have had some issues due to poor GM design. My friend/mechanical savior runs a 6.5l in his FJ45 he brought from down under. Once the vortec goes, I've got my eye out for a 6.5 or...

It sounds like the pinion seal. drop the drive shaft. remove the flange. replace the oil seal. You can get the parts from various MUD vendors. Just had mine replaced. Now I have to scrub the caked gear oil and dirt off the diff.
Thanks Kurt.
Trunion cap is removed I had just installed steering arm and found one stud is bunged up so they're all going to be changed. In retrospect I should of just gotten some 60's knuckle and been done with this these 77 white elephants. I have limited resources on this rock but our Ace...
Can I replace the steering studs without removing the arms or bottoms provided the cone washers are removed? What size are these things on a 77? Wife is coming home and her rig is down.
Thanks
Plenty of options like Jim says;
Cool cruisers of texas (aka:CCOT) just dropped in a ccot replica tank to replace a leaky poly tank
Man-a-fre - like the long range under front seat model
Spector Off Road (aka:SOR)
Downey
MUD Vendors - search; fuel cell, gas tank
Too many options to be screwing...
Getting ready to pull my whole ps steering system and replace. Thought this might help some. I've got a 3/4" solid shaft with a u-joint before the input shaft, and leaking at the input shaft. Been doing my research and I have part numbers. I'm replacing the column as well. I replaced the hoses...
What about dual inputs?
I wonder if the dual sensors vs. single for the new master would cause conflict. When your master res is empty signal would travel down both circuits. It shouldn't matter based on the fact that you could have both res low on the old master and the light would indicate...
Hope this clears the confusion
Black Dog here's a good explanation of what's happening with the thermostat.

I've had electric and a shroud
The only thing that has made me happy is my Be Cool radiator with standard clutch fan. I got mine from summit (#bci-62167) with the 1-ton trannny cooler built in. I tried to reuse my shroud but wouldn't work. Have been running the unit for the past 6 months and...
Went down this path
I installed a new master from marlin when I did rear disks and new TLC calipers in my 77. I counldn't pin down the same issue ABS or non-ABS and what years. I decided to just buy the Marlin. The Marlin master bolted right up with no hassles and works great. As a plus the...
A hidden switch on the ground or electrical fuel pump. No power, No fuel, No Go. Plus it allows time to get several shots off while they're trying to figure out WTF.
My dd has been cross country twice SF to Miami, Mexico, Baja, and Hawaii. Never has she left me stranded. Back in action once I get the birf seals done next week.

Nice work Greg!
You'll love that BeCool radiator. Where did you place your overflow tank?
I like your battery setup. Where did you get the hardware for the trays? How are the trays setup in compartment? I've been looking for a nice dual bat setup.
My isp is jerking me around today so sometimes the pic is there and sometimes it's not. link should work on the "red X" if they haven't changed security again.... Sorry
