    BJ74 body removal

Did a quick search but didn't find... How hard is it to remove a BJ74 body and put it back on? My employer has a pair of them and rolled one, the other has a rusty frame. They asked if I could switch the good body onto the rolled truck with the good frame. I have a big crane in my shop that...

    VI: Buy/Sell/Trade, In Search Of

I grew up in sooke so this seemed normal. I used to go there for my Samurai needs when I was in high school, but that was a long time ago. Looks like people aren't really using it anymore. So no on the bumper then? This duct tape isn't going to hold forever

    VI: Buy/Sell/Trade, In Search Of

Anyone have a bumper that would fit on a 93 Toyota pickup? Preferably awesome. On that note, is island4x4 no longer really a thing? Where do people go for their non-cruiser needs?

3b very loud knock suddenly started - clutch explosion??

Started feeling a slight vibration when changing gears. After about 10-20 minutes I was driving in 5th and things seemed to go haywire (clutch slip I think?) and an extremely loud knock started causing me to pull over and turn off engine. Knock is in time with RPMs Initial look under hood...

For Sale 1987 FJ60 Silver AZ rust free $27,500.00

$8k? I paid $1,500 for my clean 62 from california 9 years ago. Congrats on the sale, and way to make me feel even more guilty about all the abuse it's seen. It's great to see our rigs go up in value on the market to (nearly) as much as they're worth to us

    BJ62 quarter panel dent repair

Made more progress yesterday, started joining up tacks... only burned through once or twice. Taking it slow!

    BJ62 quarter panel dent repair

Thanks that helped. I flappered the primer back off and got a better connection but it was still bad in spots. Discovered that the heavy magnet I was using to hold the panel to shape was soaking up some of the charge... pulled it off and I got a good ground all around

    BJ62 quarter panel dent repair

Thanks for the moral support everyone! Nice! Yeah actually I did come across that thread and learned some, maybe I'll go back over it again. I haven't been planishing... it's hard to get my arm around the back side of the panel, and I worry that I'll just cause deformation by hitting it with...

    BJ62 quarter panel dent repair

I used a flapper disc to get down to bare metal around the edges of both panels, then primed with weld-through primer. Before priming I also used a rust-removal acid product called Krud Kutter, which I figure will help with paint adhesion and to ensure nothing was lurking under the paint of...

    BJ62 quarter panel dent repair

Here's the replacement panel section from my ornamental/parts 62. I started to wonder really quick whether I'd done a stupid thing attempting to cut this exact shape. I had to cut a really awkward shape because my replacement panel was rusted through on the bottom, and luckily the original...

    BJ62 quarter panel dent repair

I put a big dent in my passenger side rear quarter one day when I backed into a cement post. Guess that's what happens when you're used to huge plate bumpers and you leave em at home! I swore an oath to the cruiser gods that I'd fix it someday, so here I am... learning to weld. Hopefully...

    Rear quarter dent from side
