Sorry I missed the party
Sorry I missed the party. My employer has file bankruptcy so I've been concentrating on the job search and it slipped my mind to check on the party until now. Good thing is that I should still be employed and receiving paychecks at least until the end of the year...
As said above put the hole at 6:00 then try shining a flashlight in there to see the cog, it may be a little left or right. That's what I had to do. If I remember correctly you have to rotate the cog downward to loosen.
If you have bolts the correct size and pitch you can screw those into the...
I need to replace my rear brake disks and I had one of the sliding bushing seize up in the torque plate. Seems who ever replaced the rear pads the last time left one of the dust boots off and things seized up:mad:. The sliding bushing was bent, don’t know if this happened trying to get it out or...
This may be a stupid question but last night I picked up a pair of these supports from AutoZone last night. When I took them out of the package I could not get them to move. I put one end on the ground and put a fair amount of pressure on it and I could not get the support to contract. Are they...
I've had this happen to me. The tie rods ends were rusted to the tie rods. They did not appear to be rust but they were frozed in place. I asked for the busted parts and can tell you I have never been able to get the tie rods off even using heat. So in this my case it was not the tire shops...
Could you be a little more spacific to the area? I use to back-pack up there a lot years ago and still occationally backpack and camp at Little Rocky Row and John's Hollow. So I'm trying to see if these areas are still safe.
Thanks for all the help. What would I use to power the actuator with. I believe the FSM says to use a dry cell battery. That to me  means not a regular car battery.
I was going to try Grumy's idea of taking the actuator off and trying to move things around but I can't get that off...
Yes, I can pull the diff away from the axle and have a gap of 1/4" to 1/2" all the way around the housing.
From the other post and the FSM the locker should have been locked so I think that is what is causing the interferance. I'm trying to figure out how to unlock the locker when the housing...
The problem appears to be that the axle is not locked and it is not on the truck. It was taken off after the truck was in an accident the slightly bent the front axle.
How do I go about locking tha axle now?
 I'm having trouble getting the fron diif out of my front axle.
So I have my locking front axle on jack stands, both axles are out and all the nuts holding the diff to the axle have been removed. I can pull the the diff out between a 1/4" to 1/2" and then it stops. It appears to be...
I would have drove if I had had it 80 back and didn't have to work late. I went to pick it up 2 weeks ago and they had the steering all jacked. It would max out the dampener on a 90 degree right turn and turn fine left. I told them they probably turned the steering wheel while the axle was off...
