    Will 91 4Runner 4x4 Windshield Fit 92 2wd Reg Cab PU?

Thanks for your response, KLF...it's been a long time. I was planning on using a wire guitar string, like a garrotte, as specified in the FSM. I agree this could turn into a mess. The $179, did that include glass (with no insurance claim)? If so, that's pretty good. Chain? Ima freaking kill...

    Will 91 4Runner 4x4 Windshield Fit 92 2wd Reg Cab PU?

Will 91 4Runner 4x4 Windshield Fit 92 2wd Reg Cab PU? Looking at a 91 4runner 4x4 for parts...REALLY need to know if these work, but can't Google it for crap. Any other interesting stuff I can use? Hood/Fenders/interior/exhaust? The 4runner is a 3.0 that runs and...

Can I use the drive shaft screw to snug down harmonic balancer in 22re?

EDIT: Can I use crankshaft bolt to snug down the harmonic balancer? Hi, and thanks in advance. I've been trying to get this harmonic balancer in my '92 22re, and am about 1/8 (or less) an inch from being on the crankshaft completely. I can thread the 19mm drive shaft bolt, and want to make...

Marlin Crawler Clutch Kit,New, 92-95 PU 4 cylinder

Marlin screwed-up and shipped me the wrong clutch kit, and I never sent it back. This is a complete kit (clutch, pressure plate, and bearings) that fits a 92-95 4x4 22re, or an 86-87 Turbo 4x4 4 cyl. It has NEVER been installed, and is the 1200 pound, 9 5/16 disc, as relayed to me by an...

Drag Link/Center Link Replacement Tips and Question

Thanks Jukelemon. I shouldn't need to mark/remove the Pitman arm from the gear box, I hope; I just need to take off the connection to the center link (castle nut and cotter pin). But I will keep the torch in mind, thanks.

Wanted to say Thank You and Good bye

Yeah, that truck looks sharp! Thanks for your help over the last couple/few years here (for me, anyway)...good advice, and good luck with the new Taco. Do you want to swap your buckets for a bench?

Drag Link/Center Link Replacement Tips and Question

Got it. OEM type replacement is like $60, and I'll replace the bushings in the idler arm while I'm in there ($5)...they need it. Someone mentioned I might need s gear puller or 2-claw puller to get the Pitman arm off the drag link...does that sound right? Will that fork thing work instead? (I...

Drag Link/Center Link Replacement Tips and Question

Was yours a two-wheel drive? Mine is a base 2wd 22RE PU, made in Japan, and I called in with the VIN where I bought it and was told it was not part of the recall. That would be awesome if it were...I guess I should call around to other dealerships and Toyota directly; maybe they'll not want...

    Any truck appraisers out there?

That's low...it might take a while, but $5000+ would definitely be attainable. That said, if insurance bumps up to $4500 or so, you may just need to take it. Ebay might be worth taking a look at.

Drag Link/Center Link Replacement Tips and Question

Hi all, 92 base PU 22RE 2-wheel drive I know I need to rebuild my idler arm, but where the idler arm connects into the drag link is broken as well...it's the post/rod coming out from the far passenger side of the drag link that is broken. It still is connected to the idler arm as it should be...

    Rebuilding Brake Master Cylinder...Easy Job?

Hi, My 92 base 5-speed brakes are getting soft. Fluid level was a little low, but it was night and flashlight died so not sure of the level. I refilled it with perhaps 1-2 ounces of fluid...would that be enough to have let air in my lines? I'm assuming not. So I ordered the rebuild kit for the...

what trannys will fit a 94?

I think anything comparable in the 89-95 years should fit (V-6/2wd-V-6/4x4), with you possibly needing to replace drive shafts (but I don't think so). Enough people hate these auto trannys enough to swap out a 5speed in their place (in fact, yours may be cracked from the PO smashing it...

A/C Drier damaged in accident. Could pieces of that be clogging my a/c lines/valve?

Well, my nipples are hard again. The a/c charge was completed tonight, and while not quite as cold as the R-12, it seems to be working well. I hope I can say that 4-5 days from now. The evaporator was fine (amazing what the proper part can accomplish), but I had trouble getting the pressure...

A/C Drier damaged in accident. Could pieces of that be clogging my a/c lines/valve?

Well, some good news, sort of. The a/c guy did give me the wrong part (from an '88) despite telling me for 10 minutes on the phone how I got the part I ordered. he owned up to it, however, when I returned the part. The charged me for the right ('92) evaporator, but pulled the wrong one from...
