I've searched the fourums, but can't seem to find the numbers, though I'm sure i've seen them on here.
Anyone know the correct valve clearances for B engine when cold. I've got the hot numbers, but I'm having issues getting the beast going and think setting them correctly will help.
Thanks =)
I swear to god that there are an elite group of bezel ninja out there who know when a cruiser is about to be sold. They sneak in under cover of dark, murder any witnesses and using their ancient 10mm wrenches they flip the bezel of the cruiser to be sold.
Here is an example of such a ninja...
I'm working on a vacuum leak in my brake booster - at least I'm 90% sure that's where it is. when ever I press the break pedal I loose vacuum and when I turn the truck off, I hear sucking noises from the place where the pedal is.
I was able to source a new (used) booster at SOR, but they want a...
So after a year and a half of sitting dry it would seem as though one of the oil lines that goes from the oil filter mount to the vacuum pump seems to have contracted dead. It’s one of those fancy jobs with banjo nuts as its connecting medium. My question is this, can I pull the nuts for the...
I used a socket with a dowel through the center, then finished them off with the arm... thing that goes over them. I haven't driven it yet so I cant tell you how well this worked. But everything seems fine so far.
The auto electrical shops in town wanted 150 usd to repair it, a new one from Auto zone is 109 (after core) so that's on the way! going to go clean up the nose cone now so it matches everything else =)
Again, thanks everyone for the advice =)
I just got a set of KM2's on stock FJ Cruiser rims (the black steel ones) I'd tell you how they work, but the rig is till in the process of being rebuilt.
Just as a note, if you go as large as you want, you'll likely have to adjust out the lock on the driver side (the one closer to the cab) -...
The starter seems to have a bad case of the dead. the Bendix wont engage, nor will the motor spin. about a week ago, before I put it back in, I took it apart, cleaned off all the electrics, re-greased everything I could find to re-greased, and replaced it. Seemed to work fine. But in the process...
Sweet! Thanks again for the help guys, even though I see about 4 different 40's rolling around town, I never find them stopped anywhere so I can ask questions. This project would definitely be DOA if it weren't for mud!!!
Okay, starter is back out, here is a picture of it. seems exactly like the one one from SOR.
It isn't specifically noted as being a diesel part, I wonder what the PO did with the original =,
