If you really want an aftermarket one, then check some of the BMW forums for aftermarket accumulator solutions. There are a few out there. I'm sure one of the listed mfg's can make one to specs.
Bleed it: Top off the reservoir, jack up the front wheels and and turn the steering wheel lock to lock to bleed while engine is running. Periodically check the PS fluid for low level and bubbling.
Add a bottle of alcohol to your washer fluid to prevent freezing, stir, and cycle a little through the system. Some friends add Heet (in the red bottle - has methyl alcohol) to theirs when they head to the mountains.
I hope my crude diagram explains this. Once you have this made, you would use it like sand tracks. You can cut the tread again so that it's easier to store or have a matching pair. The wider the tire, the better the track.
