Dismemberment
I thought all about the dismemberment thing through. I would decapitate myself on my roll bar first before I even got to the visor. I actually almost knocked myself out once on a slippery road. I slid sideways and the vehicle caught on dry ground my head got thrown against the...
Thanks so much for your help. It may take a couple of tries but I will go with what Heirloom says, unless I can buy one that is lexan and I can bolt it in without looking like crap. It may take a couple of tries but it will be worth it. I will go to ICON's site and watch the video that they...
Looking for anyone out there that has made their own visor or has bought an after market one. I have the frames but want to do something that will last and looks good. I know that the people that make the ICON have some pretty cool ones, I am sure they are an arm and at least half a leg (some...
Thanks
Thanks guys, I know wheel spacer will work I am just exploring all my options. I do like the look of the 16" wheels on the ICON. I just thought if I could gain about 1.25 inch then I could get those 16" inch wheels from Pro Comp. I am putting the fj60 axles under it so I have enough...
I am sure it would after researching it. The question is would it really matter in a Land Cruiser or not? Most of the things I read after searching for it on Google were for racing cars etc.
I wonder how much it would make a difference, anyone know?
Mitch
I searched the faq and used google to try to find an answer to this question but could not find anything so I e-mailed Kurt from Cruiser Outfitters about swapping the steering arms R to L and vise versa. His response to my e-mail is below. Without bothering him too much I was wondering what...
I have a set of Mickey Thompson MTZ's that are 285/75R16. I got them for a steal with 14/32nds on them. I just thought that if the rim is a little bigger that it might miss the tie rod arm more. I guess not though, I do have a 1/4 inch spacer I can run.
Any one else chime in on this. I know I...

I know another backspacing question but could not find anything much on the 16 inch rims. I know there are many out there with experience in this territory. I did check the FAQ section and not much on 16 inch wheels. Thanks for your help, I just don't want get them and have to return them...
Thanks guys, I will check these out. I have a line on some wheels that are 8 inch from Pro Comp for cheap that have 3.75 inch bs and are 16 inch. I am pretty sure they will fit according to all the research I have done. Thanks for the resources and experience.
I did some more research and I guess 4 inch backspacing may work with 16 inch rims, I have a spacer but it is small like 1/4 inch or so. I don't want to order any unless I find out for sure they will miss the tie rod arms. Thanks
Ok I read all the links that I could find that talked about 16 inch rims with 3.5 inch backspacing for the 77 FJ40. I bought some 285/75r/16's and need some rims to fit my 77. I have come up with Custom Wheels - Stockton Wheel Service that could sell rims with the right backspacing. Also...
Thanks for looking even if you just know someone that might have a set of these, give them my number. I would like little to almost no rust on them. Thanks for your time and good day.

I bought a 77 FJ40 that had a power steering swap, what numbers do I need to get parts for it and or get a refurbed one. I have a lot of play and have already adjusted it.
Thanks for all your help and I hope I can get a good answer. I usually do here with the wealth of knowledge that is...
Looking for a used auxillary gas tank for my fj40. I live in SLC if you drop by or i will pay for shipping. I would like the one that fits under the tub. I looked at all the ones online and they are just too expensive. Thanks for looking.

Damn
I didn't think that anyone had answered due to the fact that in the past I got an e-mail from MUD to my Hotmail inbox. needless to say I looked now and I got some replies, thanks so much. I have an old FJ60 1982 (I think) that I took the coil and ignitor from that one (I know that this...
6 months ago I got an ignitor and coil from a 84 fj60 and put it in my fj40. Ran good until today when I put a new Flame Thrower coil in it. Actually it ran great for about a minute then it stopped and now I can't get a spark to any spark plug. I checked for voltage across all points in the...

Thanks for the needed help pin head, here is the picture I was talking about in the pm. What is the difference from aisan and non aisan? Should I try to find a "vacuum choke breaker/throttle positioner"? What does recurving the dissy do, does it make a world of diffrence (I...
