I can tell you this Jon, My favorite truck to date was a 6.0L with a Tremec 5 speed manual. (Engage enabler mode)
What a blast to drive and the control over the RPMs was killer with that trans. I have driven 5.3L with Toyota 5 speed and not even close, nor is an NV4500 with a 6.0L

I picked these up a while back when I saw them. Great ergonomics for the job. In one of the photos in the last post you can see where the fender lip has been rolled from about 10 to 11 o clock .

I've had a pair of these in the shop for 4-5 years. I replaced one with a newer version last year. Mine take a real beating. I saved the dead one for parts. Using battery cap on current one now.
They are cheap and take a pounding. Oh yeah, they work.
I have been using one of the Chinese models for several years. Mostly for battery cables and larger supply lines like #8 & #4. I solder the terminals first, then crimp, finish with shrink tube.
