Didnt have much luck searching here or on the web. A lot of people commenting but nothing concrete. Had to pull the driveshaft out of my 2004 doublecab to take care of a small leak.
When reinstalling the driveshaft slip yoke onto the transmission tail shaft, should i grease it? Or lube with...
This weekend i found atf coming from the tailshaft of the 2004 doublecab... so it got a new seal in the tail cone, and after welding the plug on the yoke, got a new u-joint on the front of the shaft.
Had to use the 2005 doublecab to chase parts for the 2004 and run errands. So thrilling!
Anybody know where i can find info or specs to compare to what im finding?
Fuel pressure? I had 33 psi at idle. Doesnt change much with rpm. If i disconnect the resistor it runs about 42 psi. Applying vacuum to the regulator slowly brings the pressure down about 4psi...
This seems to be in...
Well, in a hurry, and in lack of a vehicle i could put my grandfather, and crippled father into for a desert weekend- i pulled the trigger on a 2005 2wd trd double cab. Its got the 4.7 liter with VVT, and 5 speed trans. Overall its in really nice shape, has 150,000 miles on it though.
It got...
Not prepared to part out at this time- the office in my house is so crammed full of cruiser parts i cant get in there. I know everybody has a small part or sometging they could use, but im trying to dump this stuff all at once and be done with it.

Back up for sale!-1500 bucks for the car and all the parts!
there may be interest in the drivetrain. If it sells complete the price of the vehicle and parts as a package will drop quite a bit. Still prefer not to part out, but if there was enough...
yep, you found it... LOL that takes me back. I could drive a car with no brakes for a month, but one little tiny annoying sound from the rear quarter pannel, and im tearing the whole damn car apart.:D
I bought a new, totyota old stock part from SPECTER OFF ROAD... was like 14 bucks i think, but...

I kind of like the way the white in the mid-section extends up a little higher than usual, but still has the two tone top.
I put it in drive and reverse and drove back and forth several feet.
There was no dirt around and I didnt want to be making turns on pavement.
(Gahh, on a friends computer again. stupid log on names...)
Yeah I have a burb tank and probably wont use it for the same reason. some extra gallons would be nice, but wow that thing is too tall, even if I did a body lift.
makes sense.
So the unused plug at the center of the rear bumper would be for a trailer wiring application? Essentially the second plug from my axel harness can plug into that?
Not that I would need to, I have what appears to be an aftermarket wiring harness dangeling under my car, more...
ok guys, sorry, dumb it up a bit for me.
I have about 3 to 4 feet of wiring loom comming from my new axel. That wiring loom has two 6-prong male plugs. One of the plugs has 5 pins and the second has 6 pins (one connector has a vacant pin inside of the plug).
Under my car, at the rear...
My head hurts, probably from smacking it againts my rig all day installing my new rear locker axel.
I've found threads about fj80's needing rear locker wiring, but I've heard the lx450's have all the wiring ready to go.
WHERE IS IT>>?
I have the few feet of axel wiring on the axel locker...
Yeah, I make patterns out of Masonite also... Can use them a few times before they get messed up. I would like to find something more heat resistant, but Masonite is easy to work with.
