Builds What did you do to your Land Cruiser/Toyota/Lexus 4X4 this week?

Trails ain't fun till you hear steel scrapin'. Those rings to protect the drain plugs actually hold up amazingly well.

All aboard that train, and not a fun ride for sure.

Another suspension question... (Unique-ish I promise)

I went Bilstein 5100's on the 4runner because they are ride height adjustable for the fronts and I knew I was going to be building an extra 200 pounds of bumper and winch later. Worked out great, just moved the C-clip up one more notch. Super happy with OME coils 906/880's. Agree with bwesty's...

Need to cut out all that nasty to solid steel and replace it. From a welder's perspective, I would find a good bodyman if it were me. :meh:

You my friend, are another example of why Merles worked. Thank you for getting everything sent and stocked.

William is awesome. When Merle still owned it, he would send one of his parts runners to Precision to grab an oem part when I was in a bind on a Saturday and have it on will-call at the Oro Valley store to pick up. So sad to see that customer service go away from a Mom and Pop to corporate.

Applaud the ingenuity. "Welded on, makes a great step and also keeps some of the intelligent tailgaters at bay". Downside I can see, a potential DPS magnet.

Too bad Merles isn't Merles anymore and bought out by Napa. But If William still works there he can hook you up. 520-297-1566

I will be more than likely working that day, but Buehman Canyon could be an alternate campsite, and close by. https://mapcarta.com/22920446

Last time I went, there was a fire that burned and blackened everything East of the cabin (and right up to it). Think this was taken September '23

I am attached to that rig and didn't even own it. Some of my favorite memories go along with it.

If you have an extra 45 minutes to spare this is a totally awesome video to watch to the end. https://expeditionportal.com/the-highest-road-in-the-world-video-of-the-week/?mc_cid=51c83e3664&mc_eid=0f590b70d7

Wife was digging through our old saved magazines and this popped up. I thought it was lost.... Predates Mud, January 1999. If I do the math right, I was 38. Thought it was the coolest looking Cruiser ever, and the reason mine is orange.

    Intermittent wiper issue.

This is on the 3rd gen. I am not coming up with much with a search or the FSM, both steered me to replace the multi-function switch (which I did). Anyone know if there is a separate relay involved that isn't on the switch itself? Symptoms; Turn to INT, = Low speed Turn to Low = Low High = High...

Hello community - Welcome post. I also need to fix a fully broken flexplate.

Agreed! Pat yourself on the back brother, not a fun job but you have the satisfaction of knowing who put it together again.

Pick up one of these to toss in the tool box for pulling those pesky seals, you will pat yourself on the back the first time you use it.;) https://www.tooldiscounter.com/product/lisle-puller-shaft-in-seal-lis58430?msclkid=5b0209c0fcec1526c26e6ca0131a2a11
