All- This ad is for my 1996 cruiser. I have enjoyed owning it the past 12 years, but it is time to move on. This forum has been a huge help to me, though I've been mostly a lurker through that time. Things you may ask that aren't in the ad: 1. The headgasket has never been replaced 2...

    Radiator Issue

Both good advice. Perhaps I'll try to fish it out. If that doesn't work, I guess maybe I'll look into new. it seems a shame to replace the whole radiator over a $4 part, though. The only leak seems to be from the drain hole, since the petcock was broken and not sealing properly.

    Radiator Issue

SO, you can call me an idiot, but I have a problem and I'm looking for some advice. About 4 years ago, an aftermarket radiator was installed in my cruiser. I know now I should've gotten OEM, but it's water under the bridge at this point. Recently, I noticed some fluid was leaking and went to...

Color match for Rock Chip Paint Green?

I've heard good things about these guys: http://www.paintscratch.com/ You can enter your make, model and year and they have the color codes all listed. I assume you have 6M1, Emerald Green Pearl Clearcoat. They have spray cans, paint pens and regular rock chip paint available. HTH

If you have time, I'd like the stuff for a 2004 Tacoma. Thanks, Nate!

I have to agree with the others, your friend should buy his own. A true hero only uses his powers for good, and I think Nate is trying to be a true hero to the cruiser community. The closer we adhere to the rules, the less likely someone at Toyota will be upset by making it easier to get these...

Over a cable connection, mine took probably 5-10 minutes. I don't know with Nater's method if that would change, but I can't think of a reason why it would.

You really are my hero! Any chance you could get around to grabbing everything on the 2004 Tacoma?

It was definitely some manual labor, but I managed to finish the whole thing in probably less than an hour, which still beats the heck out of downloading them one by one. If you are able to get your project completed, however, you'll be my hero! If there's anything I can do to help, let me know.

When you are creating the URL's per the instructions, you end up not bringing up the full list in the frame, so when you view the source you don't get them all. To get the ones you are missing, you have to narrow down your search, for example look for just the suspension and axle portions...

I updated my original posts to include as much as I could fit, but some of it wouldn't. So here is the last of it. http://techinfo.toyota.com/ileaf/96toyrm/96toypdf/96rmsour/1996/96cruise/bo/srsair/prec.pdf...

I can post them up when I get home this evening. I'll try to edit them into my original post.

Thought I'd update this, as I do have a full URL listing for the 96 cruiser now. If you'd like to have it, shoot me a PM and I'll email the file to anybody who wants it.

    Online FSM help

If you decide to go the WGET route, let me know as I have an updated URL list that actually has all the components. My list on the other thread is missing a bunch of key items, including the suspension and axle portions.

You can go to: http://www.techinfo.toyota.com/ You'll be able to get a subscription there that lasts a day for $10. There is another thread that tells you how to download the whole manual with a tool called wget.

    Wanted  96 LC Center Cap

I finished my axle job and took it for a spin, only to lose my center cap! Looking for 1, but would consider buying more if need be. Any condition. Thanks!

    Inner axle seal

A short update: I pulled the seal out and the spring had dislodged. I have a special talent for breaking things, it seems! Anyway, thanks to all for the advice and to Doug for the offer of assistance. I got a new one from the dealer and installed it last night. I sure hope I can finally...

    Inner axle seal

Thanks, all! I actually tried putting the ring on one of the old seals I had pulled to see if it was possible to reseat it and I couldn't even manage it that way. I determined that doing it backwards without being able to see it was more trouble than I was willing to go through! I just...
