@LJ78MacNeil I know this is an old one, but if there's any chance you can provide some photos and/or details, I'd be extremely grateful! Really getting hung up on installing a hitch on the SWB....
4 16x7 JDM Prado (KZJ9x) wheels, believe they're the same as the 3rd gen 4Runner. They're round, and hold air, but could definitely stand to get cleaned up and/or refurbished. I've been driving around on them since buying my Prado, so they are fine for DD or for trail wheels, rollers.
An 8- or...
TIRES ARE SOLD
4 Cooper Discoverer Road and Trail AT tires, size 265/75r16 SL load, which are like new with less than 2k miles on them. No repairs, patches, plugs. $500.
@JohnVee I noted on my registration I'd volunteer for the registration tent and inspections. I will arrive Friday morning (possibly Thursday afternoon, unsure) and happy to do whatever is needed, so long as I can get some trail time. Will also help police/cleanup throughout the event.
I suspect you'll find mid-drive is harder on the drivetrain than a rear hub motor. Mid-drive is putting all of the power into the chain, and thereby the chainring, cassette. My experience with both torque-based mid-drive and cadence-based hub confirm this: 2500mi on my mid-drive's cassette...
I am looking for a 2" Reese tow hitch for the 3rd generation 4Runner (1996 - 2002). If you have one you want to let go, please let me know. Cosmetic condition is unimportant.
Only issue with that is virtually every tire in that size is load range E. I have no desire whatsoever to run an E rated tire on this thing, that will kill the ride quality.
...and I'll probably have my Land Cruiser card revoked, but this is gnawing at me.
The KZJ90 I bought has 265/75r16 tires. I understand 265/70r16 was stock, so these are 1" greater diameter. The front tires rub on occasion - not often, but going offroad is going to be a problem.
I have no...
Yeah not sure you're going to find a proper bullbar in that price range. That said, ARB's Sahara and Deluxe bars fit the Prado - check arb.com.au. Coastal Offroad has a DIY front bumper, it's precut but you have to weld/finish.
The OEM stuff is a push bar, if you hit anything that thing will...
I just used this kit on my KZJ90, agreed - for the price, it's a steal! And having headlights that shine beyond 4 ft and are LHD-specific are nice bonuses! :p
Kurt, do you plan on stocking more/any items for the 90 Series? Been away from Cruisers for a few years, but always shopped CO first, would be happy to give you money again.
A friend of mine in Durham is selling 2 sets of ARB Tred Pro recovery boards. One pair was used once, the other pair has never been used. Each set includes the storage bag. He is asking $250 per set, or $450 if you buy both pairs. PM me and I can get you in touch with him, he's not on Mud.
Thankfully I can walk or ride my bike over to Advance, O'Reilly's, AutoZone so when I'm ready I can check them all. And I'm not in any rush, in 2 weeks I'll have nothing but time...
Dredging this one back up since insuring my KZJ90 was bothering me, but...
58 yr old driver, WFH, drive 8-10k miles/year; got a "regular" plate here in NC (not antique or anything). Stated value of $15k, plus all of our regular coverages (comprehensive, bodily injury, medical, collision, UM) -...
Have you actually measured the air intake temps at different locations? or is this "internet lore?"
Obligatory dumb question: have you tried insulating the intake tube?
And not to be critical, but with that existing mess of loose wires - yeow.
