    The M10 now goes up from the bottom through the frame support bracket and connects to a captive nut on the bottom of the running board.

    1978 FJ 40 Starting Issues

    I was having similar starter issues and after checking ever possible connection, ground, fuse, etc., it turned out there was a short in the ignition wire where it connected to the starter. Replaced the connection and problem solved.
