I had a Caldera years ago. It was a real blast to ride vs. aluminum or the early dualies. I remember just the joy or feeling like a kid again on steel.
I gave it to my son as a city commuter during his college years.
That's nice you can put some mileage on it and take dogs and family all on two wheels. Here in Massachusetts, the closest bike to yours would be a supine recumbent.
Keep riding!
I ride a 1x11 geared at 30x46 on a 29er. I live in a not too hilly section of New England averaging about 1500 feet of climbing on a 20 mile ride in the woods. At first, 1x11 felt really hard on the legs, but after a few months I was riding just as hard as my old 2x10. I won't go back to...
Nice! I still have my 1978 Charles Roberts Super that I used to race.
I did my last restoration in 1987. New paint , braze-ons and Campy Super Record. The crankset is Galli, an Italian Campy clone.
Reynolds 531 double butted through out.
My old Pivot Mach 429 alloy developed a crack in the rear triangle. Time for a new ride. This time, it's a Pivot Mach 429 Trail. Carbon frame and carbon bits everywhere.
