From a strictly science standpoint, it's a scam.
These things have been around for years, and there is a reason that more people don't use them, namely they don't work. The amount of energy you would need to extract H2 from water would not be offset by the benefits of adding a marginal amount...
My FJ60 is still hesitating around 2000 RPM's. About once every 10 seconds it just jerks, and you can feel it losing power right before it happens. Also, whenever I open my gas cap it is under vacuum. I made a list of possible causes before I go tearing it apart. Please feel free to tell me I...
Go to your auto parts store and just grab a breather cap and various sized grommets. they are cheap and you should be able to find one that fits. However, it the pcv entry is on the side of the valve cover (I can't remember where it's at right now) it will leak and you may want to find an after...
Currently costco is having a sale on tires, and I need new tires bad. I want to go with something a little larger than I have, so I am thinking of the BFG Radial TA's 31's. I had these on my CJ7 years ago, but I never had the top on it so I could not hear a damn thing. Does anyone have these onf...
I agree. I had an old Chevy truck with a straight 6, I put in a hot cam, and had more power at the top end, but the bottom end sucked donkeys with nothing else added to the engine.
Sorry.
It's a stumble that occurs in all gears at the same RPM.
On edit.
One more thing.
When I open the gas cap I get a huge rush of the vacuum filling, yet it does the same thing with the cap on or off.
Sorry for so many, I will be glad to impart any wisdom as I get it as a pay back.
I have an '87 FJ60. All new California smog and new carb. At 2,000 to 2500 RPM's there is a slight hitch when it runs about every 15 seconds. I replaced the fuel filter so that is not the issue. The mileage has...
Just my 2 cents.
If you have never adjusted valves before, you may want to have a buddy who has give you some hands on advice. Over tightening a valve or leaving it too loose can have some serious effects on your engine.
As for your timing, adjusting valves won't change your timing, but...
Good afternoon.
My tailgate is alternately a duck cleaning station, fish cleaning station, a bench, and a step for my two Boxers. Needless to say, the carpet on it is not an ideal surface to keep clean. I was thinking of tearing off the carpet and putting Herculiner on the inside of the...
I live in the SF bay area.
The wagon has seen some very limited time off road, if at all. Tires, shocks, and shackles are just about a must at this point.
