    2F Engine "resistance" cause?

So... finally got around to putting the motor on a stand and flipping it over... Looks like the Oil Pan took some damage during transport and the resistance that I was feeling was when the big lobe of the crank came back around on the outboard side of #1...

    Builds Project Pikachu: 1977 FJ40

The previous owner put some old field turf in and used it like an indoor training facility. As @cbmontgo mentioned no issues with keepers or Jack's rolling... I do my best to limit liquid spills, but at the end of the day it's a shop... I've thought about pulling up the turf, but man, it sure...

    2F Engine "resistance" cause?

I recently picked up a 2F short block. When turning the crank by hand, there is what I will call resistance, in other words it hits a point in the cycle where it wants to stop (not rotate freely) and I have to apply more pressure in order to fight past the resistance and continue the cycle...

    Builds hairy_apple's 2FE build

As for re-wiring... I did this years ago... my suggestion is to get a full sheet of 1/4" or 1/2" plywood. Use a sharpie to draw/label physical contact points (i.e. lights, horn, etc) on the plywood. Obviously lable (with masking tape) your wire ends. Once you have it all pulled out of the...
